Will it be a Choose Your Own Adventure/Find Your Fate type novel?

Nice Bill. I can't wait to see what you came up with. So many questions.
1. Who are the Bad Guys? 2. EXO-SUITS? Valkyries? Suits? All 3? 3. When is it set? 60s, current time, near Future? 4. What is the team like? 5. Toyline to support Storylines?

2. I wanted to represent the universe that MTF has established as much as possible. 3. Current time. 4. Again, I don't want to give too much away. My goal is always to introduce a set of characters who the audience can relate to and sympathize with. I already have plans for more development in the second draft. 5. I'd say that this is more of a case where the story line is supporting the toy line. I was inspired by the awesome figures that MTF has put out, and I had an eye toward their future plans with WWII and Vietnam. I heard MJ talking to another customer about the forthcoming Vietnam line and spent a good deal of the trip home thinking about where I would take the story if it were to continue. For now, however, it should definitely align with what you have on your shelf. One thing that I tried to be very cognizant of was providing some characterization and story without restricting anything. MTF's brand is all about customization and freedom, so I didn't wanto to do anything to damage that brand. The idea was to provide some potential context without taking away from anyone's already established ideas or approaches to the brand. I hope that I've struck a good balance. |

Bill,
Your explanation sounds interesting and I’m in. I’m also excited about the Vietnam Line coming from Marauder TF. Endless possibilities, Robert Ludlum meets old school Larry Hama. I can’t wait, but back to your book, it’s impressive that you want to keep the freedom and integrity of wide open options, but seriously, any chance we get some actually named figures from MTF after the release of your book?

I won't presume to speak for MJ when it comes to his business practices. My thinking is that we'll probably have the best of both worlds: named characters for those who want them as well as endless customization possibilities for those who don't. There will be characters, and they will be available. Whether those are picked up a la carte or possibly offered as a packaged set in the future, I don't know. Again, I can't speak for MJ and wouldn't want to risk my relationship with him by giving the impression that I was doing so. |

The draft was completed last week. There is still some editing to be done, but right now, it is being reviewed by MTF. They are very busy right now getting out the suits/dogs/exo-suits Kickstarter stuff, readying the site for listing the remaining stock from that project, and looking ahead to the WWII stuff. I therefore cannot say how long this next step will take or what revisions will have to be made after they review the draft (hopefully not many).
I am very eager to get this story into print and into fans’ hands. I will definitely be spreading the word as we get closer. Right now, I am kind of being forced to sit back and wait, though. Thank you for asking. It is encouraging to know that people are anticipating this project as much as I am. |

Yep! And I think moreso than the Kindle entries because there are figures to support the story, and now a story/background to support the toy line.
Will the story be offered in book form, soft or hard cover? Hope so.
