If so, it just confirms that Paramount wants to continue the formula that made the last one such a resounding success.

If viewed strictly as satire on fantasy films and D&D, its a great and hilarious movie. Jeremy Irons' performance is comedy gold.

I'm a man of faith but with this, I will have to believe it until I read more. I'm ok with the Rock as RB I guess

Wait, Paramount wants the biggest movie star in the world to return? Shocker!
I'm sure they *want* that, but Dwayne Johnson has said he's booked up until at least 2021. One of his other movies would have to be cancelled for this to happen. |

Adapt the early 80s comic books. They were always the best part of the franchise.

Honestly, I really hope this is all wogwash. Doesn't sound like any way to revive the franchise.
REBOOT the thing. 80's series are all the rage right now. Set the new movie in the 80's and have it be a campy tongue-in-cheek homage to 80's action movies infused with a ton of humor and goofiness a-la Thor Ragnorok. It would be huge hit. |

Yeah some 80s goodness , and make it like the A Team movie, I know it flopped at the box office, but I enjoyed and the actors all said they wanted to do a sequel. A Joe movie with that tone and action would be awesome. |
