[below expectations]-----------[met expectations]-----------[exceeded expectations] It is the extremes that generate commentary. Wave 1 was toward the left side and Wave 2 was near the middle. A more accurate comparison with Wave 1 would be if the Club delivered a Wave that actually significantly exceeded most people's expectations. And not our reduced expectations where we act pleasantly surprised when a Wave arrives without significant problems, but an actual exceptional Wave that somehow goes above and beyond what was initially set as the expectation via the prototype photos. People expend the effort to comment when something is wrong or something is unexpectedly great. Anything in between is bound to generate less noise. |

Another way to look at it: Meeting the requirements of what was promised in the prototypes is not exactly going to generate as much commentary as things that arrive missing pieces or below expectations. If you look at it on a spectrum:

No one would expect it; that’s why we would talk about it.

Exactly. The point is you're acting like it's strange for us to talk a lot when there's a problem and not as much when there's no problem, but those are not really equal ends of a spectrum. The full spectrum is Problem, No Problem, and Pleasant Surprise. Guarantee we'd be talking almost as much about Pleasant Surprises as we do about Problems.

We already discussed how they are both from Illinois during the many pages or praise for these two action figures. Remember how the discussion even covered Evergreen Park, Illinois in great detail several pages back? … the same pages which you counted. Put a Caucasian head on it to be cartoon accurate. Use the red hands for a custom.
