You shouldn't. The guy has been quoted since the closure announcement as having interest in a partial buy. And AOL wasn't the initial source for the article.

I hope the banks feds try owners accept and I selfishly hope my TRU is one of the 300. But I also feel that if one store can remain that the franchise will expand again. I think the feds should step in and save tru and that Bain and the other companies should be held accountable for the tru dept . Since everyone and their uncle knows
They just buy companies and put their dept on them.

I finally wandered into a TRU for the first time this weekend since the liquidation announcement. I was expecting to see bare shelves but the place was packed to the gills and it looked like nothing had sold since Christmas. A quick glance at the signs showed why. Most items were only 10% off their normal 20% too high prices. This location didn't really seem serious about liquidating yet.
It did look like they already fired the cleaning crew as the floor and store were pretty dirty. |

I have been to the store a couple times and the percentage says up to 30% off. Still only 10% off anything I saw. Legos are only 5% off. Yep, still not worth even buying anything, yet.

And this is why once the sell off was announced, I just went in and bought what I really wanted, left a couple of might be nice to haves and did some online ordering before they closed the website. I wanted to avoid long lines, and being frustrated in stores. I got what I wanted for future projects, and I'm good. I am sad though I'll never see if they would have brought back the True Heroes Bridge Layer set as I missed it when it was out.
