At least Pryce seems to have tried to enjoy making the films and saw them for what they were without hating on anyone.

Pryce stole the show in nearly ever scene. His parts did alot to save Retaliation for me.

Whether a movie is good or bad, whether a director is good or bad - whatever. everyone involved should use tact. No actor should go around badmouthing his or her projects. It is really bad form and reflects as much on him/her as it does on everyone else involved. If you make a mistake, you don't go around pointing your finger at everyone around you. You remain polite and dignified. If asked, give a polite (if not ambiguous) answer and move on.
For the next GI Joe movie, maybe they should hire a bunch of nobodies looking for their breakout role. They will all be hungry for the work and fall over themselves to get it right. |

It's funny whoever mentioned Alec Guinness in Star Wars, because he was very vocal for the rest of his life how much he hated those movies and how dumb he thought they were. Look, Eccleston is notoriously prickly. This kind of snark from him is not unexpected. Couple that with a really bad movie and a poorly written character, this is what you get.

He's comes off as the kind of actor that gives actors a bad name. He only holds smaller arty stuff with any sort of regard and dismisses all of the roles that actually pay the bills.
It also doesn't help when you start off with a bad movie then cast people who don't want to be in the movie and have no regard for the property just because they have very limited name recognition. |

Yet Dennis Quaid did his job (in fact they wrote more involving his character because he was so pleasant to work with) and did it well and then said he would be happy to work on a sequel.
There is a class act. |

My favorite part in ROC concerning Destro, and I'm being serious, I promise, was when he was taunting Duke about kissing Baroness in front of him, and Duke, in-turn, head-butts him right in the face. (lol) And I felt that way long before I knew Eccleston despised his role. As others have said, I, too hate it when actors fold under pressure from dissatisfied fans, embarrassment, or what-have-you, and they denounce these less-than Oscar-worthy roles. Why don't they just own it, like George Clooney does over Batman & Robin? Heck, he even takes responsibility for helping to ruin the Batman franchise at the time. Shia LaBeouf is another actor that gets under my skin for this kind of thing. He seems embarrassed by his work on the Transformers films, along with KOTKS. I can't say those films are masterpieces by any stretch of the imagination, but I've sure enjoyed them over the years, and for the most part I thought he did a fine job...when he wasn't screaming like a crack-head, that is... (lol)
I guess actors are entitled to their opinions just like everyone else, but it seems so off-putting when they second-guess roles after the fact and put them down.

It's funny, everyone hates, hates, hates the movie, but then get all bent toward an actor that hates on it, lol.
