Oh man... my son has mild autism and loves the Hobbit movies. We got all the 3.75” stuff Bridge Direct released, and then waited patiently for the rest of the damn Dwarves to come out. Many a meltdown ensued when I had to tell him they weren’t going to finish making them all, especially because there were pics of them. He made me email, snail mail and try to call the company!

I can't confirm that they never have, but TF is not where they typically reveal new product. Those reveals come mostly from Hong Kong/Japan shows as well as through online sneaks, factory leaks and official reveals. ToyFair is mostly U.S. based companies and I believe began as a showcase for Hasbro product that then went wider and now encompasses a ton of different companies.

Possibly, but Hasbro releases are usually just characters that Takara released the year before. I have the Hasbro 'Prime and Sound wave because I prefer their paint slightly variant paint apps.

Takara is only allowed to sell Transformers in Japan, so they will never show anything at Toyfair. Hasbro Asia sells both Hasbro and Takara products, so as noted above sometimes MP reveals are done in Hong Kong and other asian toy fairs.
Hasbro has shown the US versions of MPs at Toyfair, but for the most part we already know they're coming (because the Takara ones come out first, then an asian leak will confirm the figure is coming to the US with slightly different paint/colors/etc). So SW Vintage Series and another ML Mutant wave is all I can look forward to, and we've already seen most of the Apocalypse wave already.

...... Hasbro, Mattel and Lego aren't at UK Toyfair this year.
Ho hum, at least we got Bruder? The coverage from UK toyfair this year is.. . . . super unimpressive. There's nothing being covered. |

I'm expecting to see Star Wars TVC, some 6" Black Series and maybe some Solo stuff, a couple of waves of Marvel Legends that we already know about and those bikes that haven't come out yet that were shown last year.

I will hope to see any 3.75 news. Maybe Hisstank could specifically do a 3.75 News round up since there are several of us here who love the scale and there will be no Joe news.

I'm tentatively looking forward to seeing if NECA has any more Colonial Marines figures to reveal, and what new 6" SW figures might be in the offing for this year (I have a long-standing love/hate relationship with the smaller figures). I feel kind of dirty about the latter, though, since 1/12th scale collecting almost seems more like a cult than a hobby now. Most of the excitement for me these days is being brought by companies like Marauder, FMF/ZICA, Boss Fight and Sunok Studios. |
