Oh no, don't get our comments wrong! We love the enthusiasm and passion for the project and appreciate all the comments! If we are CLEARLY wrong about something, let us know and we will fix. Case in point, an EXPERT in Japanese uniforms & gear (actually produces the uniforms for re-enactors, movies and museums) let us know our collar on the Japanese soldier is wrong, the strap knot under the helmet should be on the left chin side and the puttees (the calf cloth wrappings) are not tied correctly. Our sculptor is already working on those changes. We did a LOT of research on the project, but our goal is a project that as many people as possible will enjoy...so we are delighted to make some corrections to meet that goal!
We're all good! MJ Excellent stuff with the Red version trooper..! I’ll be keeping my fingers crossed for the Airborne stretch goals. Would it be possible to switch out the US Airborne jump boots to the original fully laced Corcorans? Looks like the later buckle boots in the pic with the earlier M1942 uniform. |

Frankly, I’m a bit flummoxed by the apparent timeline disparity between the U.S. and German figures. If the the Germans are equipped for 1939-1940, the American figures by rights ought to be kitted out for the same time-period (including Brodie helmets, Springfield rifles, etc) rather than for 1943-1944 as they are, and vice-versa.

Is the same true for the Russians? I can send some reference pics.

The early-war Germans currently on offer will go well with the European theatre Brits if they are unlocked. I may actually hold off on getting any Germans until they do a repaint that has matching feldgrau trousers, which would definitely be more accurate for 43-44 timeframe.
You’ve got me wondering how a greatcoat could be implemented in this scale, though (taking the modular webbing into consideration): Also, concerning the Airborne figures, I’ll say I like the idea of their having the gloved hands as shown. Maybe in most cases they probably wouldn’t have worn them for too long after hitting the ground but there are already bare hands available for the MTF figures and it’s one more little detail to accentuate the distinctiveness of the Paratroopers’ appearance.
