I am looking forward to this. I sincerely hope we get more than just your standard US troopers. If they made German, Japanese, and Russian soldiers as well, that would be quite something.
Then I'd have to wonder how well they'd go with Eagle Force's upcoming WWII line.

I'll be watching and possibly backing. I would just be in it for fodder. I think it's a cool idea, but my kids don't have WWII toys (everything is Joe and future-based) and I don't collect, personally. If I did collect action figures I could see going for WWII for sure.

I'm pretty much excited for every MTF thing they put out at this point. It's not so much the WWII aspect that appeals to me, but I can imagine the new figures they make for this upcoming kickstarter will only make customizing more MTF G.I. Joes even easier. In my perfect world, I'd prefer they'd concentrate more on just expanding the color selection of their existing molds (ESPECIALLY the unarmored/bare forearms and legs), but I'll take just about anything they give me figure-wise. The quality of their product is just so fantastic.

I have been super-stoked for this since it was first mentioned earlier last year. While I probably won't utilize the figures as actual WWII-era figures, I'm hungry for a more diverse selection of components to custom-build figures. I don't know how many different Allied and Axis personnel will be offered in this run, but I know that I'll happily pick up whatever figures I can afford.

Sounds pretty darn exciting. Howling Commandos will finally join Cap in some early 1940's adventures.

I grew up reading G.I. Combat and Sgt. Rock...which then led me to Marvel's G.I. Joe comic. I built WW2 model sets from Tamiya, then started collecting A Real American Hero in 1982. I never liked any of the 1/18th WW2 lines that have come out. I know Marauder will knock this out of the park. Excited.

I am really hoping for some more enthusiastic support from military toy buffs for this project. I for one have been waiting for fully articulated 1:18 scale WW2 figures. The closest I have are the Germans from Hiya Toys and the Indy figures. We are long overdue for a proper 1:18 WW2 line, and MJ & Co are the folks to tackle it.
I am really hoping for a wide range of troops: Americans and Germans are obvious, but also Russian, Italian, Japanese, Chinese, French, British are also highly desired. Throw in some French freedom fighters, a few Soviet partisans from the occupied Eastern European states and I'd be ecstatic. If they can do this, I will throw as much money at this KS as I can to have a 4" world at war. Fortunately I have my bonus from work to play with and possibly my tax return. In response to Eagle Force WW2, its more or less going to compliment rather than compete with Maruader. EF WW2 is delving into Captain Eagle's dad during WW2 as they take on the Harbingers of Thule and CLAW....supra-national organizations with Nazi ties. |

There have been a lot of great 1/18 WWII vehicles released by various companies over the years, but all of the figures have been substandard. I’m looking forward to seeing the usual Maruader quality!
I’m not especially interested in collecting WWII stuff for its own sake at the moment, but I intend to back this line hard. Marauder’s modular nature will mean this line will provide a wealth of stuff for customs. There’s a lot of kit of WWII design stil being used in conflicts today. In short: Russians, please!
