I had the idea to repaint my Medic as black but I doubt the American military of the time would be accepting black applicants to Corpsman/Medic School; so I'll say he's only veterinarian-trained. He was serving in Europe as mess cook when some shiat went down and DumDum Dugan saw him save a man's life with eating utensils. From then on he was the Howling Commandos Medic, regulations be damned. For additional grins, I'm gonna say this guy is Stretcher's grandpa.
http://www.journalnma.org/article/S0027-9684%2815%2933513-6/pdf I know I've read that both the Navy and the Army at least had black medics (I don't know off-hand about the Air Force, but I assume they did as well since they were part of the Army at the time). They also had black dentists, if that helps. Like any other black servicemen, they were initially in segregated units, though that changed before the end of the war.

There have been a few updates recently, 3D renders for both the Russians and the British. Things are looking good.

So this thing's still open and was thinking of some last adds but then i remembered exactly how much i've already spent lately and on *preorders* at that. Is it confirmed pretty much everything will be available later just different color schemes? What about the single color "army men" and black/red german red shadows? Historically, how much more are Marauder po and store prices over KS for individual figures? Is it just the large group packages that really get the deals? Are they likely to cut a lot of the packouts for the figures into add-ons that will up-price them in the po/store? Don't want to miss a good deal but man my wallet needs the break!

I was looking at the pics from JoeCon on Generalsjoes, and noticed underneath the Brit prototype, for headgear they had the beret, the distinctive Tommy helmet, the officer’s cap, and an Australian style bush hat. I didn’t remember hearing anything about a bush hat, so I wonder if there will be any other little surprises. Nice pics of some of the paint masters too.

Kinda wishing I'd added a few more Russians.

The hard-copy German Panzer looks like he's wearing a Dutch Boy shirt. That MTF Oktober Guar - er - I mean "Russian Soldier" looks awesome!! The British troop looks really cool too. Can't wait to mix-match parts for some custom Joes!
