Is that an educated guess or is that really happening?

Spent about an hour last night doing my pick 50 and add-ons which was $250 worth thanks to the Panzer Grenadiers. While I do have an appreciation for the Pacific theater, I used Mayhem to load up on the European conflict troops. I'm not able to pull up my backerkit at the moment, but with the stretch goals that were already included in the Mayhem package plus the add-ons I think I got:
15 MP44 German Army 2 US Bazooka 2 US 50 cal Gunner 5 US Thompson Gunner 4 US Rifleman 5 British Bren Gunner 5 British Rifleman 5 Russian Rifleman 3 Russian DPW Gunner 3 Russian Tanker 3 German MG42 Gunner 10 German Rifleman 1 German Officer 1 British Officer 1 Russian Officer 4 German Panzer Grenadier Rifleman 6 German Panzer Grenadier MP40 1 German Panzer Grenadier Officer |

Vietnam and MTF Ultra both have been confirmed future KS. Ultra has not been defined at all...only speculation as to what that entails.

It's not a guess (educated or otherwise)! It's from an interview with MJ.

So going forward, should we expect to see figures of other historical periods?
Well we already have a Vietnam line in the works. We’re flirting with the idea- and it’s in the early stages- of Feudal Japan, with the Samurai, and their armies. I just love that. But there are a lot of things that can be done. If the WWII set is successful- and we’re being very aggressive, we’ve got some huge stretch goals- huge dollar amounts- but if we hit those, we could roll out to a second series, a third series. Like I said, there’s a lot still there.

Did my pick also last night. Very happy with the new figures MJ added to the backerkit.

So Jealous. So many beautiful figures to choose, but alas I could only do 13. For me they have to somehow fit into my more Modern day JoeVerse.
1. Camo Marine. I have a hard-on for Marines. Never served but both my father and Grand-Father were Marines. 2. Thompson Gunner. At some point I am adding a different head to make Major Reisman from the Dirty Dozen. 3. Special Red and Black will now be my M. Bison and all the Germans I bought will serve under him 4. Japanese Officer - I needed at least one and he will join Shadowloo in some capacity, not unlike Red-Laser in the Red Shadows] 5. British Officer - Hope to get the same red hat and make him Action Force Commander 6. Bren Gunner - Soon to be Sgt Day from Marvel Issue #57 although the beret is wrong he looks good. 7. Marine Code Talker- Not sure yet. He looks good though 8-10. Russian Tanker, Rifleman, Gunner (More Oktober Guards. Skipped the officer because I had to get some Germans) 11-13. German Officer, MP44 Gunner, Rifleman I wish I could have done more. Hopefully these will all be available in the store in a few months, and they they do another Wave 2 WWII with all the Paratroopers. Because Vietnam era kickstarter will come shortly I am sure.

Has anyone else sort of envisioned a WWII era GIJoe team with MGRs offerings?
I mean Thompson Gunner is an Obvious Duke Japanese Officer could be Storm Shadow Letherneck and Gung-Ho, Spirit and Quick-Kick, and Grunt Short-Fuze as the Bazooka guy. And a Headswap and you could pull of RocknRoll. And of Course Blowtorch. Not sure about the Germans and how or if they would translate to Cobra, Maybe a rouge Red Shadows unit that eventually becomes Cobra, but the 4 Russians for Red Dog/Brehkov, Horrow-Show, Stormavik, & Big Bear. Of Course they could all be the Current Joes Gran-Daddies.
