This is all just speculation but the impression I've gotten from various posts in various places is that the relationship with the Captain Action folks soured and that they may've been causing issues with the Kickstarter.

Does that mean that Darkon and the Super Joe likenesses are owned by the Captain Action group and not Hasbro? Just curious since the claimed a call copyright c&d on Lord Darkon who is based on Darkon.

They claimed copyright infringement on the base bodies and one weapon that were used for the original versions of the Count Vordalock and Lord Darkon characters.

How can they claim copyright infringement on a base body that isn't even remotely in the same size scale? Or are you referring to the look being identical (homage)? Could you not market them as "tribute" designs like what Neca does? I'm confused. But look forward to what's ahead.

Ah I see. How goes future plans for Sectaurs? Will you be keeping the two lines separate or working on a shared campaign for Kickstarter going forward?

A Kickstarter for wave 2 of the Sectaurs is planned for November, mixing it with wave 2 of the Comic Adventure Heroes line isn't an option. The plan for now is to release one or two figures at a time from the CAH line.

Cool. Thanks for the update!
P.S. Have you thought of revisiting your Buck Rogers line on the new bodies or--my personal hope--taking on BSG (classic or modern) in this scale? (Silverhawks or Visionaries would be great too if Hasbro allowed it) Last edited by Mega Convoy; 07-27-2020 at 09:28 PM.. |

Unfortunately the Buck Rogers license is stuck in legal battles at the moment, or so I've been told. As for the classic BSG license, I checked on that about a month ago and was given the impression that another company already had it for action figures.
