You know how long it'll take for these to go on clearance? There's enough stuff coming to keep new Joe coming every 2 months or so.
How long did it take for that last ME stuff to hit clearance from when the last of the new stuff come out and now? 4 months? Longer? Don't expect RoC to be on clearance for a long time.

I think some people need to learn the difference between price reduction, sale, and clearance.
RotF Toys have not been "clearanced" ANYWHERE. They've been put on sale, because that's a natural thing to do the week that the movie comes out. Marketing synergy. Mary Jo Soccermom and her son Billy go see Transformers 2 on Saturday, and then go see Transformers 2 toys on sale at Target on Monday. They did the same thing with Star Trek and T4 toys. Probably will with Joes, too. Likewise, Star Trek toys aren't being clearanced in most places. They had a price reduction. That's the retailers' perogative. Considering how inferior the T4 and Star Trek figures are to comparable products, it shouldn't be much of a surprise. "Clearancing" on most of these lines isn't going to happen until after the Holidays. Just like Indy, or Hulk, or all the other movie lines from last year: The retailers always carry them through the Holidays in the hopes of increased sales. Repeating the main point one more time: Just because it's sold for a lower price at some point doesn't mean it's "on clearance." "Clearance" is for when they're dropping a line/product entirely. Hence "clearing out" the product. If they're still restocking it...it ain't on clearance. Last edited by Jmacq1; 06-30-2009 at 09:42 PM.. |

Yeah, I'm not a big fan of the movie stuff myself, but wanted to help the Tankers who are. The Tank has helped me get the jump on a lot of stuff, so this is me paying it forward

Nice list. But $9.99 and up to $12.99 for the Baroness?

It's not sold out, it hasn't been officially put on the pre-order status yet.
To those who said you can get these for $8+ in the stores so it's similar in price, nah, you will be able to get them for much less. But you gotta time it right. Basic figures always go on sale the week of movie release in at least one of the major chains and these figures will be glutted on the racks. Expect to get these for $5 a pop just like you can get $12 deluxe transformers at $8 each this week at target. |
