Its honestly a large amount, I wouldn't expect any one company to buy it all, and I wouldn't be surprised if a lot of it ends up being stored in warehouses or thrown in landfills. It sucks, but its part of how these sort of things go down(historically, every situation is unique of course).

I don't know if anyone's mentioned this, but him Cramer had a piece about this, which I just read, and it was fairly interesting and informative. Not sure if the rest of you would agree with him or not, but to each their own.
My concern is if Hasbro was going to sell their movie Joe products through tru where does that leave us in 2020? Other stores? Online only? That might've thrown a real wrench in their plans.

Just sad. Kids in few years will never know the “ i dont want to grow up , im a tru kid” song. The maskot. The feeling of “ is it here in stock” excitement as you walk in the doors, the memories as a child buying tmnt, tfs, joes....star wars.
Wonder why no one has stepped up to save the brand. You would think Hasbro or Disney would of had interest. Not too surprised about no one buying the brand, at this point it comes with a shockingly large amount of debt shackled to it. You are more likely to see the brand name get bought when the dust settles(Linen's N things, and Kaybee Toys are two examples of that happening), both for web presence only.

Who is Cramer? You have a link? Has anyone Challenged Hasbro about this yet? I mean is there even a forum for dialog with HASBRO directly? Do they even come to the Joe cons anymore. I would love to see HASBRO get back into the online game in a big way. WALMART, AMAZON, are getting too big.
Cramer of Mad Money. CNBC has a article on it(couldn't find a better source sorry) https://www.cnbc.com/2018/03/15/cram...r-us-fate.html

Good article. It only reaffirms my belief that Hasbro needs to up their game now more than ever. I am not a Lego guy, but I would go check out Lego.com. Most Webpages are practically designed the same, but Hasbrotoyshop.com is not all that present, and it usually runs out of everything. I mean Amazon is a terrible design too, but there is so much on there it may not be possible to organize it better.
I miss the ability to walk into all those stores in the 80's that competed against each other offering rows and rows of Joes. Everyone carried all they could. Now you can't go into those Stores and Amazon, Target, and Walmart don't care about Hasbro.

If laws are being broken, it's a police issue, not a private security issue. If you don't want those hobos hanging around, best to stop the lawbreaking when it starts, when the delinquent child steals a pack of gum, before he becomes a lifelong delinquent. And tell your government to arrest them for vagrancy.
Sorry to everyone else for the semi-off-topic follow up rant. I didn't expect someone to actually defend Walmart's use of our local police departments as their own free security guards. |

Interesting article by Cramer - I appreciated the historical perspective he adds to it. TRU did to Mom and Pop shops what Amazon eventually did to TRU since TRU never innovated. I had no idea TRU partnered with Amazon back in 2000 - they should of kept that partnership going but I suppose hindsight is 20/20.

TRU has been a sinking ship for several years now. With billions in debt out there along with bleeding off millions each month, this was inevitable. The board of TRU including the CEO, admit that things were run poorly and that the infrastructure and management at the store were a direct bi-product of not having enough profit capital to invest in the brick and mortar stores. Simply put..TRU sat at the top of the hill for so long, they began to think name recognition and nostalgia were enough to keep them relevant. They know now how unrealistic this truly was.
