So you can't buy the parachute figure? You have to be one of the lucky ones to get it after it lands?

You can buy it. They sell it bagged and carded. If you are lucky enough to catch one, then you go to the club store to get the weapons.

My daughter took part in the parachute drop when she was 5 years old. It’s the only parachute drop we’ve been to. They let the kids go first, (kids only) so they don’t get trampled by crazy Joe fans!
She followed directions great! “Now, get one for daddy & put it in your pocket! Then, you can get one for yourself”!!! Then the adults get to go! However, there were adults in the drop zone even though it was kids only. Poor kids couldn't get anything cause the adults were taller and just reached up. That's why I gave one to the first kid I saw who didn't get one.

No, you’re not the only one. It’s sort of the elephant in the room.
So many of us paid for this artwork sight unseen, and now the reveal comes too close to the convention itself, that there just isn’t any time remaining to fix the errors. That’s just the box cover they will have to go with now. A bitter pill...

What is wrong with it? I can't make out any errors.

The errors are the result of not enough care taken when combining five separate paintings to create the illusion that this is part of one painting.
The G.I. Joe card back images originally painted by Hector Garrido and others often used light sources from multiple angles to highlight the characters and create contrasts. That works fine individually, but when combining these paintings, it becomes a little trickier. Failure to do so correctly causes the eye to notice that something is wrong, and our brain tells us that the images are not together as one. We call this realization a collage. This box cover is a collage of carded figure artwork superimposed one image on top of another. It looks awkwardly forced together, and the lighting angles seem to make no sense at all from one body to the next. All of the figures seem to be floating above a dirt pile, without casting any shadows upon the earth or each other. The only light source included within the picture is a bright flash from the grenade launcher which produces no lighting effect on the other characters. We can assume there are other multiple light sources on the battlefield, but they should be illuminating the five member team collectively. In this case, our brain tells us that something is wrong, and we accept this image as a collage. The v-shaped formation of these characters should cause some of them to appear larger in the foreground of the image, and others smaller in the background. When the scales of the characters are the same, or mismatched as in the case here, we realize that these are separate images forming a collage. With greater effort and more care, this combination of paintings to form one box cover can be successfully accomplished, but missed the mark this year. For example, last year’s box cover for Force of Battle 2000 had six G.I. Joe images side by side along the same horizontal plane. The images were accurately depicted in the same scale. Three characters faced to the right of center, and three characters faced to the left of center. Light sources for the highlights were consistent with each character, creating the illusion that the blinding digital flash in the background might have lent a source to the highlights. Visually, it worked well. The lettering carefully concealed the feet of the six men so that they did not appear to be hovering in midair without casting shadows.
