Darn it.
The webcast is not available any more. I like to listen to these reports. Oh well, maybe it will be up soon.

I'm curious why Hasbro is not adding Joe to the Gaming and Animated portions. We are long overdue for a decent Joe video game and cartoon.

But Transformers revenues (per Hasbro's own Q2 report) were actually BETTER than 2014. The movie sucked, but the toys are selling and more importantly, the associated efforts (Generations and Robots in Disguise) are all doing well.

My two cents. Eschew the "kids only brand" idea for G.I. Joe and go tri-format appeal; i.e., pre-school crowd friendly, mid-range appeal and collector age appeal. They've already established this with their Transformers brand and with cartoon shows/movies targeted to appeal to all three, so why not simply re-jigger G.I. Joe as something that isn't so much Power Rangers (like the modern movies, which are bloodless and toothless affairs) and instead go military/sci-fi with multi-gender and multi-age group appeal. There is a ton of potential if you take the subject matter seriously in at least one of those formats and certainly room to appeal to various age groups depending on how it's rolled out.
They really need to take another look at Resolute as the movie iterations should look more like that- great story, characters in their actual uniforms, etc. Obviously they don't need to go as hardcore with the violence as Resolute or the appeal to younger kids will be severely limited, but bloodless and toothless PG-13 movies that lack any real heart is not the way to go either. I have a feeling this is just more talk and no action.

Is this where we dredge up the discussion about them needing a call of duty game and so forth. Although the Battlefront engine is actually perfect for Joe.
