I'm no customizer. But now you've got my attention. Is there a list of potential 25th figures one could choose? I may really want to be in on this. So many figures I could choose....

[QUOTE=KuuKuuSon;5063190]This guide will also help draw parallels to the volume 4 convention exclusives and club stuff (if warranted). G.I. Joe collecting and archiving is more of a web than it is linear and finite published works have a hard time accommodating that. A rerelease is the opportunity to capitalize on that notion.[QUOTE]
James, I own all 4 of your books...but I'm confused by your comment about volume 4. What will I be missing if I DON'T re-purchase volume 1 of R&F (KS version)?

Kickstarter Link Ozzie92. I am glad You own all four guides. The first edition of Rank & F File volume 1 will continue to service you and your collecting needs just fine. Convention exclusives (and club exclusives for that matter) existed during the time the 25th Anniversary and Resolute were the predominant series (we know this). This reprint does draw ties to those convention exclusives and GI. Joe Collectors' Club action figures as needed. It also brings together volume 3's "50" line and its carry forward figures. Basically, if there was a chance to bring 2017's insight to a guide published in 2015, I took it. |

RolandofGilead, the list has been added to the Kickstarter's story portion. Read it there or click the image to be taken to my website that houses a larger image. Thanks for your interest!

Pledged! Looking forward to this. The 25th anniversary line really gave the brand a shot in the arm, and definitely brought me back into the fold full time. It's great to have guides to the modern era figures.

It's the final countdown for the R.A.H.C. Guide Rank & File 1 Reissue Kickstarter Campaign! There's less than 64 hours to go, but no worries, this campaign has long since been funded! If you've been on the fence, there's no better time than the present to contribute to the campaign and get your copy!*
From**KuuKuuSon, aka*Mr. James Kavanaugh*-* The Rank & File Volume 1 Reprint is coming to a close in the next three days!* Thanks to all who have contributed so far and, if you haven't, please take the time to do so before it's too late.* There are a variety of contribution tiers, including the "One and Only Souvenir" option consisting of an action figure showcased in the guide and from my personal collection.* Some sample images are provided in this update and check out further details via the Kickstarter link.* I look forward to shipping out your contribution! James M. Kavanaugh Jr.

Each series has been deemed final unless some product that was shelved finds its way to US stores. Some examples are the Retaliation Night Landing Craft and The Pursuit of Cobra Blowtorch and Croc Master variations (on the POC card). I am confident that these did not reach anywhere near that level of production, I am only throwing them out there as examples that would cause me to have to review my current series layouts and classifications. |
