i love the roadblock beyond all reason. I'm eyeing up everything else but i'm not very familiar with most of these properties. I recognize rom and the visionaries guy and don't mind owning them.
But i really wanted remakes of the classic mask characters in me style, like we've seen customized on here many times. No collector ever customized the original mask team and changed their genders, races, etc. Everyone who cares about mask wanted to see me versions of them that looked just like the 1980s figures. So this little change, along with hearing that the comic changed the appearances of other characters like gloria, throws cold water on the chances of getting the original mask characters remade faithfully as me figures. |

The CG series was close to the book.A lot of folks were surprised when I tell them the starship troopers move was "inspired" by the book.
=Trigue;5057617]Khan still bugs me, but then no one will ever be able to replace to Ricardo Montalban. That man was in a class all his own, one of the best actors ever I think. But they should have stayed true to the character, pretty sure they did it with all the others, or atleast the main crew anyhow. Starship Troopers was pure disappointment from start to finish. Having read the book, nothing even remotely seemed to come close to it. They need to make a new one, and with out the "white washing".[/QUOTE] |

I'll just call the new Matt Trakker, Matt Trakker Jr., and be done with it.

I like the set & every figure in it. I'm down with all things 3.75.
Thank you Hasbro & HasbroToyShop! Can't help but wonder why the late reveal? |

I would have loved this in the 80's, when I was into not only Joe, but Transformers, Visionaries, ROM, Micronauts, MASK, and pretty much all the other 80's toys. But it is pretty cool, though. I would have preferred a Joe / Marvel crossover idea.
Imagine a toy set full of Cobra, HYDRA, Iron Grenadiers, AIM, Hand ninja, Cobra ninja, Dreadnoks and Hell's Kitchen "heavies" like Bullseye and Kingpin. I just never got into Joe with Transformers. |

I mean, I was contemplating attempting the Hasbro website route (selling off the figures I don't want would easily pay for the set and then some), but I've heard horror stories about their SDCC stuff selling out instantly before and I have no desire to take that chance. Besides, like I said, this guy's prices were not cheap, but they were nonetheless reasonable...Roadblock and Rom were comparable to your average FSS/Con figure, and the Dire Wraith was cheaper. I still think it's great that they went 100% old-school Marvel with Rom's design (I would have been less interested if they did the IDW version), but odd that they went with the IDW Dire Wraith design. But I can't see how they would have used existing Joe tooling to re-create the old-school Wraith, so I guess it makes sense. It's creepy looking, however...I approve.

LOL, he was the brand manager for GI Joe. A great guy, huge fan of Joe. He's no longer at Hasbro, but he gave us a bunch of great stuff during his time there.
