That looks like the advertisement photo for the unreleased Hasbro playset of the Visionaries toy line, intended to be sold as the Holodrome Iron Mountain Playset.

That is a great idea, you may want to borrow/buy a laminating machine to practice if you are a novice. I was thinking of glueing or trying decoupage to attach the pieces to wood or styrene. That would make it sturdy. I think it all depends on how thick the cardboard is.

I agree. I don't get how people will overpay for half-assed repaints from the club, but then bash Hasbro for putting out something genuinely cool and nostalgic at a reasonable price. You know, it's not the toys themselves that make me embarrassed to be a part of this hobby, but some of the fans.
On the other hand, if you want to fill in your collection with awesome, must-have figures like Raptor, Big Boa, Laser-Viper, Desert Scorpion, etc., the club has got your back. I wouldn't trade three average figures from the club for this silly, cornball thing that is not only outdated now, but was a half-assed, outdated product when it came out. |

I worked at a Kinkos, back when they were actually Kinkos.
You want to find a shop that doesn't have some idiot running the laminating machine. The temperature on those machines aren't always the most predictable, and sometimes the workers get in a rush. If they are in the middle of laminating your playset, and the phone starts to ring, they might crank the speed up, resulting in a bunch of bubbles. I would get a high quality scan of it, and have the scan laminated. Sure it might be illegal. But if you find a shop that is 24 hours, you can probably talk to some college kid who doesn't care. Typically those overnight guys also know what they are doing to be left alone all night. They get the work done at night when customers are not around to bother them. |

It's a half-assed cardboard background, pretty much the same things we got free built into the boxes during the 25th era. And it's packed with three half-assed figures, inferior versions to what we already have or have seen in the concept case. This exclusive is the very definition of half-assed.

good for you. Maybe quit acting like anything you don't like is a personal affront perpetuated by an evil entity and just enjoy that shit then. Btw, i like how toys are such serious business to you. Serious enough that they can't be "outdated" at a reasonable price, but must be over-priced outdated collectibles instead. I also like how you consider raptor, big boa, laser-viper and desert scorpion as "must-haves."
