I found the description of how this all came about quite interesting.
Derryl Was digging around in warehouses and stumbled on the original uncut sample. Right after he spent a pretty penny to get one.
Then they sent it to the art department, modified the images of any Cobras in there to match ME and voila, new but different enough to not get confused with the original.

Question.
Would anyone be interested in seeing a backdrop of this, like the Terrordrome Dusty Crossley and I did for photoshoots?

Better than 3 kitbash repaints for $80 or a repainted conquest for $130. Maybe a repainted snow mobile is more your speed? How about derpy Dee jay....is that your guy? I agree with you though, just like the Gentle Giant large figures, these are a nostalgic item, that many of us never got, or wound up in the trash like the gliders. So they became outrageously expensive as a collector's item.

Given how popular this has become, I really wonder how many will make it online though. I kind of like Neca's way of doing it better. They put their SDCC exclusives up on their site for preorder today. I checked it out a half hour after they were up and still got the "manly handshake" Dutch figure.
