I know Marauder Task Force doesn't cater to the "elite", because they have a website that caters to everybody. Ben Savage might be just saying it so they don't lose customers. But it could also mean that we may not see them this year and probably see some next year.

Here's a nightmare "What If" scenario. What if Hasbro makes G.I. Joe action figures the same way they did with the Star Wars action figures? I talking about the current ones that only have a five point articulation.

Brian works for the club. His statement is a half truth...no new Joes released in 2017...yet! Why would Hasbro share product release information with Brian Savage. He's a fly on the window looking in like the rest of us. Here's some intel: Club is on its last legs, is poorly run and probably should have lost the liscense last year as planned. They want you to believe that their product is the only option so you'll gladly fork over $25+ for their kitbash repaints. Here is solid information we know...club is done after next year! Bye Felicia!

To me this is a non-story until after Con.
Official word would need to come from Hasbro. Simply put I don't trust Fun Pub's info when it comes to Hasbro. Plus they have been known to be wrong. Like saying their "goodbyes" only to announce a 2 year extension at Con.

Eh...who cares, honestly. For the past few years retail Joes have been like "Kingdom of the Crystal Skull". What a bunch of crap. Shoulda stopped before you ruined it.

Now I think about. I think it means exactly what it says. Hasbro is not producing anything this year and no real plans for anything going forward. Maybe until / or if the third movie comes.
The club gets an indefinite extension just like they started back in the late 90s. They will now have full reign of the Joe Battle Wagon that has been close to careening off a cliff, for better or worse. We will be getting only club exclusives for the time being. JoeCon is here to stay. There are still hundreds of characters missing. I only wish they could team up with Bossfight, so we can start getting some decent headsculpts, and maybe they get full Vault access to release those figures we saw from when 3 years ago? Oh yeah, Prices are going up!

This info is helpful, and alarming, but let's wait for Joecon before we make any conclusions. We should have confirmation one way or the other at the show.
My personal expectation would be that we do not get new product. Joe does not have a brand manager and not having Mark Weber around drops my confidence level in our getting new product. It is what it is, we may be back at "low tide" with the GI Joe brand again.

Well, thats too bad. Fingers crossed Joe club got their intel wrong. The club stuff prices itself out of my interest. I was really enjoying the 50th line. Lots of cool color concepts and vault figures, plus new characters which is pure bliss.
REST IN PEACE GI JOE
