I like the figures in this set, but with the price increase, not sure if I'll bite. I already made customs of most of these. Here's my thoughts on the lineup.
G.I. JOE WINTER OPERATIONS SPECIALIST Code Name: MARK "SUB-ZERO" HABERSHAW If I really want to, I can add some baby blue to my custom. However, if I can get for decent price I'd love to get the club one. COBRA NIGHT STALKER COMMANDER Code Name: COBRA OFFICER Honestly, not too interested in this figure G.I. JOE SPACE VEHICLE LAUNCH OPERATOR Code Name: HARDTOP (Inspired by the 1987 action figure!) This is one I really want as it's hard one for me to make a custom. G.I. JOE DESIGNATED MARKSMAN Code Name: CROSS HAIR If the club one is really nice, I wouldn't mind if I can get it at a good price SPECIAL ACTION FORCE OFFICER Code Name: CAPTAIN SKIP No idea who he is and would have to see him to decide. Might not be too expensive to get on the aftermarket. G.I. JOE NINJA COMMANDO Code Name: DOJO Here's one I need to complete my Ninja Force G.I. JOE STEALTH FIGHTER PILOT Code Name: JONAS "#########" JEFFRIES (Inspired by the 1988 action figure!) Would love to get this but it depends on price and how nice he looks. Selling this was one of my biggest regrets. G.I. JOE HELICOPTER PILOT Code Name: WINDMILL (Inspired by the 2004 India release!) I was going to make this as a custom but the Joe Club Action Pilot that I was going to use shot up in price so if the club one isn't too expensive, I'd want to get this. G.I. JOE SHORELINE DEFENDER Code Name: RAMPART I'm happy with mine but would consider the club one depending on how it looked and the price. COBRA ARTILLERY COMMANDER Code Name: COBRA W.O.R.M.S. OFFICER Sounds interesting and I'd love to get it, but I think this one will cost too much. G.I. JOE COVERT OPERATIONS Code Name: VORONA Because the Oktober Guard are so expensive, I decided I will not collect any of them except for ones that were released in the vintage line (Big Bear and Red Star). So this figure is a pass. COBRA EEL COMMANDER Code Name: GUILLOTINE It was a lot of trouble I went through to get the parts to make this so unless the club knocks it out of the ballpark, I think I'll be happy with mine. So based on the above, I think I'll pass this time around.

Nothing like a smart idea to open FSS 6.0 before everyone who has to spend money for an ultra expensive con trip to Disneyland. Expensive enough I stayed home this year. Yep, business smarts. But of course I'll buy the FSS 6.0 too.... such a sucker I am.

One of the weaker lineups, but still some figures I want. Bummer windmill isn't classic colors. It'll be nice to expand the plague though. After the wave 5 being mostly keepers, it'll be nice to be able to sell half he sub to recoup some of the cost...

If the shipping is $67.50 again, the price delivered per figure this year comes to $34.50. Up exactly $3 from $31.50 last FSS, due to the overall $39 price hike divided by 13 figures.

Why would they do an India / Funskool colors Windmill? If you're going to do him at all why not his ARAH release?

Seriously, I'm baffled. Maybe they think people will complain about the neon colors of the original one.

Personal Opinion:
Sub-Zero - not on the top of my list, but the mockup looks very good. Is that a new Mortar with him? I don't recognize it... Night Stalker Commander - I feel this is unnecessary and could have been used for Munitia. Biggest miss of the set. Hardtop - everyone has wanted him for a while. I don't care eitherway. Toolbooth repaint guaranteed Crosshair - YESSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!!!! About freaking time! Best New Sculpt Era figure. (Several other good ones left) Skip - Solid choice for Action Force this year. The Union Jack is a nice touch. Ghostrider - nice trick with the name. We all knew this was coming after seeing Flagg last set. Windmill - Funskol colours? Really? WHY? Heli-backpack I'm assuming is the one from the Annihilators/MattTraker. Don't mind the figure, but why those colours (second biggest miss) Rampart - About darn time. Curious to see what they do with the figure. WORMS - Worried what the helmet will look like. But should be good. Vorona - I know may will complain as its Diana under a new code name, but Its not a bad choice IMHO. Way better than Alpine, Tan Grunt, or Tiger Force Shipwreck/Airtight Guillotine - Sad we're only getting one plague member. Seems odd not to have any others. On the whole, its a solid liineup of who'se left. NO, its not the best in the world, but we have covered the most remakable characters already. Biggest ones we're still waiting on: Backstop (If you're a convention exclusive I'm gonna murder something), Fast Draw, Blizzard, Crystal Ball, Golobulus (who we likely never get), Hardball, and Recoil. All of those other than Fast Draw and Golobulus are easy to make so hopefully we see them. Also, given they're releasing this list before Joecon for the first time ever, I suspect that we'll see an FSS 7 before the club shuts down, so there's still a good shot at getting some of these. |

Probably this. In fairness, I do think the Funskool version's colors are more attractive. The original is pretty garish.

I'm honestly surprised they didn't have undertow in this set either, after the one from the con set a few years back...
