Can't find 6.0's preorders from BBTS. That means something.

Here's an old qoute from viper2382 that sums up a lot of my feelings: Quote:
Nunchuck doesn't sell? Where are all the peg warming Nunchucks that you speak of? The same thing was said about the Alley Viper being included in the Defense of Cobra Island pack. That he was in the set because he wouldn't sell well on his own. That obviously wasn't true. Nor was it true for other characters from those sets like wetsuit, hit and run, Outback, Lamprey, and so on. These would have all been great single card releases. The last 7 years of Arah, over half of the original run, have been given over to exclusives from mostly the club and convention figures. Are we to really buy this notion that over half the figures made in what was one of the most successful toylines ever wouldn't sell. All the while having people clamoring for these figures from the club or conventions? Simply on your or Hasbro's word on it? The only other ninja force figures to see release, Storm Shadow and tgin su were extremely popular. What evidence is there to back up the claims that figures produced between 1987 and 1994 wouldn't sell?

I've been quietly observing for some time now, but I feel like I finally need to say something. I have bought every FSS series so far (multiples of many), and this is the first one where I just can not do it. The line-up (with the exception of 2-3 figures) is unbelievably miserable. And the price hike is outrageous. I've been watching the G.I. Joe that I loved as a child die a slow death over the past 5 or so years.
I believe this is it for me. I might stay tuned for FSS 7.0 to see if they can woo me back in.....but given the garbage that is FSS 6.0, I'm not holding my breath. If nothing better comes around the corner soon, I will have to quit the Club and G.I. Joe altogether. Very sad for me to say, but this is Marvel comic #155 for me. R.I.P. G.I. Joe. |

I agree with everything in these last two posts. If you're going to charge that much for a figure of a D list character, you really need to do something amazing with the figure. I'm not talking about new sculpts, because I'm completely fine with using old parts. There's a ton of them to choose from. It's about picking the right parts, and getting the details right. Not just slapping something together and saying "that'll do".
Who do we write to at Hasbro to get them to give the FSS license to somebody like BBTS and Boss Fight? They worked together for the Dreadnoks and Marauders sets, and they were smart enough to package them together in two big bundles, making for easier shipping. |

I wonder, since Mark Weber is a member here, he would know who to write.

The less people buy just means these last few runs are going to be super valuable, lol.

That Dreadnok pack had some horrible figures in there and so did the marauders set. Some of the parts choices were terrible. especially that recondo torso and those crappy legs on "bull" Taurus whatever u want to call him. and then there were some good ones in both sets.

Should we have started getting Big Lob at this point? They said he was shipping before Joecon.

On the other hand, online retailer exclusives like BBTS had haven't exactly sold well in the past. Three different 7 pack sets have been released and two sets reached extreme discounts at B&M retailers.
