I keep seeing peopel refer to the Rage with treads? Which one had treads? like tank treads? Or Tire treads? all i have ever seen is conical shaped wheels for urban warefare. This thing was meant for high speed assualts in city scapes and it most likley was designed to be mine proof so wheels, treads, or tires would not suffice for it's environment. Also I can't think of any other decent actual toy Tanks Cobra had other than the HISS, HISS III, C.A.T and the Rage LOL. everythign esle was either neon green/yellow or styrofoam missile based.

This is great news! All those vechs are awesome. The rage holds a special place in my heart. I have the other 2 and am looking foward to getting this one. And indeed, bring on the hurricane, after the flaws are fixed anyways. The rotating wings tend to not stay in their intended positions.
I hope we get secto viper and all the toxo cobra's imo! Even toxo zombie. |

I don't like it.

(but mostly i just hate that as a functional jet design it's far less realistic then the 20+ year old version) Quote:

Wow. Hasbro knocked this one out of the park by packaging an Alley Viper with that awesome Rage.
Love the Snowcat, and i am very interested in that CObra Flying Sub. Looks sick. |

I hope that Leatherneck is painted in his classic green, it seems like it will be based on the base plastic color.
While I'd prefer a better torso and a vest, I can live with it. The parts use could be worse, but going green is a 100% improvement to me. I bought a tan Leatherneck on clearance for $12, but I'd prefer not to have to paint him, since it's the whole damn figure that'd need proper painting. It's ridiculous to me that they STILL are using those godforsaken Duke arms, they look absolutely terrible. Those I can fix, luckily TF Dukes are on clearance at BBTS for $4, heh. As much as I love the new 7-pack Alley Viper, I think that ROC repaint will look way more realistic, and possibly cooler. Blasphemy, I know, as it's the only ROC figure that I prefer over the vintage scheme. |

I can't believe the Snow Cat looks normal (lol); and I really hope the Dusty repaint isn't wearing the gray ROC camo.

People are calling the ridges on the new Rage's wheels treads. Cause that's what you call the ridged part of tires...treads. Just like your shoes.
Strykers are urban vehicles, and they have wheels. Granted, they have multiple wheels so if a few get destroyed, it can still move. The HISS II was a sweet design except for its ridiculously long guns. It wasn't just the length but how they came off the turret. There was too large a gap. Never liked that. I think the Mauler and MOBAT had great working treads by the way. The HISS tanks are somewhat unrealistic in terms of how their treads are designed. I don't think they could move over any kind of rough terrain. The balance of the tanks is horrible. |

Hiss tanks could work, cant base it off the way the toy is balance wise. The first British Tanks in WW1 had very similar tread systems to the Hiss tanks, just elongated a bit more for the balance you speak of of, just put the Hiss top on it and whola...
The conical wheels on the original Rages just fit the style of the body better. A fully tracked Rage would be insanley awsome, but concentric offset wheels like it has now is odd. Oh well can easily be fixed, looks to have the same wheel mount.
