I'm glad I saw this thread the other day. I assumed the second edition was just an updated version of the first, including some of the figures produced since 1994. Since I'm only interested in vintage figures and already had the first book, I was going to skip this one. After reading that the new edition is truly an expanded version of the original, I put in my Amazon.com order a couple of days ago.

I saw the post from Mark Bellomo months back, about the updated filecard info, that is a LOT more info than in the previous book!
Surprisingly, the binding on my first book is holding up fine. I hope I can find the new one soon. |

I love the first book, got it for Christmas from my girlfriend.
I'll be getting this second edition eventually. And the TF book, to boot. |

This book has also arrived at Barnes n Nobles, I found it there the other day and bought my copy. It's $26.99. There is a significant update to information(a lot more text than the 1st version), and the new photos are a clear improvement over the photos in the 1st book. It's definitely worth picking up; a definitive guide to the ARAH line. It mentions that Hasbro looked at ARAH as an action vehicle line, not an action figure line; the figures were accessories to the vehicles.
I wish that Hasbro looked at G.I. Joe that way now. The vehicles have definitely gotten the shaft these past few years.

I picked this up at Barnes and Noble today-it is a clear improvement over the first edition (and the first edition was pretty top of the line to begin with).
Thanks Mark! |

Picked mine up today at Borders. It was also $26.99 but I had a 25% off coupon (It expired today)
Here's some comparasion pictures with the old book (New book is always on the left or top) Here's the spine to show the extra pages: The intro blurb for each year has grown from half a page to two pages! Each figure gets more space too The vehicle pics are much better this time around, variations are actually pictured instead of just talked about this time around and each vehicle gets more room on the page |
