I have an idea, a serious one at that, but i'm thinking that I would probably need some collaborators to help in a joint effort to make this viable.
here is my idea so far. to release a line of 3.75 / 4 inch figures (most likely re-using certain g.i joe figures and vehicles as well as some new sculpt and maybe repurposed parts from other compatible Hasbro lines) the theme would be an aquatic one , brightly coloured wetsuit and diver figures , boat support crew , exploration vehicles , a name and logo such as for example Aqua force , or aqua explorers etc , there could also be enemies , imagine a recoloured boskk head on a croc master body etc and other villains , maybe even with a loose atlantis type theme. the beauty of it would be that with a supporting cartoon it could hook the kids in , especially brightly coloured characters with a non military theme , Hasbro could reuse molds like 50th eel, rework data vipers torso as a diving suit , kwinns body as deck crew , waveriders , manta sub add some newer small vehicles etc . a complete new story , new characters and a lot of it could be done with already existing tooling . feel free to post observations, criticisms , or ideas here , or pm me if anyone is interested in trying to develop or push this on . I think something like this would be a great community driven idea , with all the brilliant minds we have here able to create new characters and card art , others excellent customisers who could maybe mock up prototypes , or even people offering storylines .

Fine Print.....
Please do not submit proposals for Hasbro to reintroduce any of its old games, toys, or puzzles, and remember that all submissions will be evaluated based on Hasbro’s core values, such that you should not submit any materials that depict, among other things, racism, sexism, bullying, torture, sexual acts, terrorism, swearing, cruelty to animals, taking drugs, drinking alcohol, or intolerance or denigration of a particular religion, creed, or political philosophy. Granted there are other factors involved, but I still think that this is one of them. |

I've said this before...I really feel that since the real threat of terrorism has come home that Hasbro has been less than enthusiastic about the Joe product because it depicts even a 'fictional' terrorist organization. Sure its a legacy product, and yeah they will be happy to make money from it their just not to eager to embrace it.
Granted there are other factors involved, but I still think that this is one of them. On the other hand, even though I don't recall it on the packaging I'm sure I've heard it in some Marvel media; 'terrorist' doesn't seem to have harmed the sales of the various HYDRA & AIM figures. |

Can they release a line of "Loving Family" figures, houses, vehicles, and accessories that are 1:18 scale and have POC or later type sculping and articulation?

Sounds to me like Hasbro is actually trying to remove toy brokers from the process.
Hasbro Mattel and others use toy brokers to evaluate ideas. When I contacted Hasbro in my youth, they directed me to a toy broker ( and I learned a lot about how things worked) By bypassing this process they will have to evaluate ideas in house but they remove the cost of dealing with such agents. A possibly smart business decision on their part.

I would love to see the playsets return USS Flagg, Terror Drome and Defiant Shuttle Complex this time with less parts to put together than the vintage ones.

I'm guessing they don't want to hear about ideas involving current Modern Era GI Joe, even ones excluding Cobra and/or terrorism. Gonna have to jump further out of the box fellas!
For a GI Joe related idea to be taken seriously, you'll probably have to majorly tweak the theme, as well as the basic toy-line model (e.g. 6" Mashers style or 3" Playskool Heroes, 10" soft goods "dolls", etc.)

I'd buy a big chunk of these for my kids. It will never happen, but I wish it would.

My suggestion would be to use HTS as something more than a dumping ground for leftovers the brick&mortar retailers don't want.

Then they can build a story or "brand blueprint" around that new idea. They could then incorporate it into an existing line if they thought it worked for that line. To put it in simpler terms, think of it as broadcast TV. They want a hot new show for the next season and are asking people for pilot episodes. Not for people to write a new episode of their favorite show.
