Today started off nice, walked in, bought some stuff, no lines anywhere. Walked right into Stan Bush signing, walked back up to IDW and chatted with Chris Ryall and got a signed book. Thin crowd on an early Sunday morning. Not complaining though, it's refreshing vs fighting Comic-Con like crowds toward the end of the day Saturday. It's already picking up quickly. Lines already for the first TF panel for the day, prime wars trilogy . Can't tell you how much I dislike line-cons...

The vendor upstairs had some patches. I haven't seen any on the con floor.
Looks like I'll wrap up the day with voice actor autographs for Optimus and megatron. We took it easy and meandered around today with only a few interesting events to attend. Finding myself in line again... not surprising given the autographs we're lining up for. Of course, the 'super fans' get head of the line. I take issue with calling people super fan just because they had $600 disposable income. Just my personal opinion on that.

One the big that rings true with all the cons, it's often the people you meet that make it all worthwhile. The smaller, more personal size of Hascon made for a very enjoyable con in the areas it really counts (people). I got the opportunity to meet so many more people here than at any other con I've attended. It truly was a family focus event and everyone with kids seemed to love it. I bet most kids stayed in the nerd zone most of the time, just crazy number of kids, products, etc. if you came for one brand, three days was overkill. I think if they program better, you may be able to catch stuff in a single day, two at most. We were defiantly killing time walking around and going to things just because we had the day to fill out. My wife went to the rediculous chewbacca mom panel and I went to a behind the scenes or making if nerf panel which was interesting from a toy development and production aspect.
Final thoughts, well worth the ticket price. Travel was cheap for us and choose an inexpensive hotel so costs were minimal. I will not pay for VIP package as I don't support that model of con going but if Hascon happens again next year, would definitely consider attending again. The city itself is nice scale, overall people were freindly and you don't feel oppressed by crowd size of much larger cons. Can't say enough about how many and how nice the Hasbro 'crew' were. We chatted with many crew members and find myself envious of the work culture Hasbro has. Will wait and have to see what the brands develope over the next year and see what's big for Hasbro. If my kids weren't teens and too old (their words), I would have very much have enjoyed the event with them. Would love to see better programming develope. Would love to see joe take a proper slot in the experience but that's doubtful. A boutique with decent selection within the brands would have been much appreciated. There were many things we saw and played with that we would have then bought if they only had them available. It will be interesting to see what if anything they do with the sales/vendor area. It was a token space for the most part and really only to serve the magic and D&D crowd. Again, would have been nice to have had a hisstank meet and greet, saw lots of joe t shirts on people but only talked to a very small few. Saw lots of people who I had a feeling I should have approached but didn't as I don't know the creation staff or familiar with brand staff. Couldn't miss the Full Force guys accents

By the end of the show, pony box sets sold out and only a handful of the premier prime sets were left. I saw plenty of the other still stacked up so they held a good deal of stuff back from sdcc. Especially since they set the limit to two per person for all items.

There was a very large pony presence, if that's your thing. LOTS of kids... nerf had the largest area understandably. I avoided that section just to stay out of the huge crowd of parents and kids.
The OP with the silly piece of movie truck tire momento.
