Huh. I guess this stuff got moved from the Marauder page, but I was posting about why I have to wait to pledge to THAT kickstarter.

Did anyone order a custom headsculpt? I'm curious if the initial renders or even casts are starting to appear yet. I'm guessing not, since I'm sure they'll be the last part of the project to be hashed out.

To the folks griping about identity here on this forum, I want to point out two things:
1st, this was lifted from our official FB page. The people being addressed on said page are members there. As they are members there, they are supposed to be using their full real life names. Your outrage is not called for given that. Number two, I did not and would not have posted that information here for you to see. Someone else, who was trying to help and pass along information did that without my knowledge. I thank them for trying to help, and hold no harm. I am communicating through the official page with folks who signed up there for it and agreed by doing so to use their real names. I take this kind of thing pretty serious, so please...no more talk about rights of agreement of privacy violation. As for timing and details, I have made no bones whatsoever about the fact that I am posting all updates (of which there have been HUNDREDS) in one place so that everyone has the same information passed along as I get it directly. That's not going to change. The page is public and anyone can view it without signing up. You have questions, you can catch me there as I do not check this regularly any more. As for the custom heads, those will be finished up, cast in resin, and sent out to the buyers as the packages ship. No premieres before hand as those things are reserved for the guys who pledged at that level to reveal or not of their own volition. Last edited by Alyosha; 12-02-2018 at 03:40 AM.. |

I appreciate the update, but the "outrage" over the names was over a year ago... if they still hold any of it, there's not much you can do about.
I think it's misplaced since you were only trying to contact people after exhausting normal efforts to reach them.

Will the Dime Novel Legends figures be Hacks compatible the way we have seen with the recently released Zombie Lab Kickstarter figures?

These look great and I hope they come out as well as they have been advised. I missed the Kickstarter, is there going to be any way to buy these another way?

I had the priviledge of seeing JERussel again, meeting both Paul Mundheim and Panama Quiroz for the first time this past weekend. I only got to speak to Paul in greeting and good-bying but I could tell from watching his conversation with John that Paul is very intent on this project coming off properly. Panama's enthusiasm for his project and everyone else's creativity on disply remains infectious.
I'm eager to see your mechabike come to be, mate. John was gracious enough to let me crash on his couch and take up his hospitality (again) and time yammering on about both our collections of toys and thoughts about the future of it all. Speaking of, I got to handle four of the coming Dime Novel Legends figures Friday night and Saturday afternoon. Three of them are essentially what we're all gonna get as actual product while a fourth was a casting prototype *not* in production colors. I was only able to afford a trio of Pardners in the KS campaign due to having just come off of being unemployed; and none of my selections where present here. I got to handle the Ranchhand, Sheriff, and 'Black Bart' as the three production-ready figures and Bart was the most impressive that my hands kept going back to. One look at him and a million stories start coming to mind, all of them ending with gunfire. The materials-feel they all had is impressively solid, and the engineering is intuitive and smooth. They all just worked and they worked right. The naturalistic posing as Bart aimed down a barrel was very nice indeed, imho. I was plumb awestruck having them in-hand. The pics show how nice they'll look but there's nothing like the feel of a nice figure as you fiddle with it. I wish Joes had ever felt as solid. I'm getting excited, y'all. |
