Breakage aside, these are great figures and I'm glad to have them... they just need to invest in some spare parts. Hell, I'd even be willing to BUY a replacement arm.

I took the collar and tie off my Fireman figure and put it on the Marshall, I think it really makes him look better...

I've swapped a few accessories just because, but I'm really enjoying them.
I made my Fireman into a prospector, I'll get the gold pan later. I've used some rubber cement to temporarily hold his arm on...

That is a great idea about making the fireman into a prospector!

Also, I ordered the Boot Hill Loot with the brown coat, cream hat, white collar, purple neckerchief, and bottle from the BackerKit. It was numbered G*5 on the BackerKit. The same item was numbered A*5 on the Kickstarter, and A*5 on SmallJoes site. The one I received was G*5 with the shotgun, saddlebags, knife, sheath and gray belt. I tried to contact JE Russell months ago about the issue, but got no action.
Has anybody else had this problem? Quote:

If you have an issue with a reward or pre-order from KS/BK, hit up Corey through Smalljoes website email. Include: Your real name Item you have an issue with or is missing. Be ready to ship back incorrect or broken items (no exceptions) Any undelivered items will be returned to my address. If that happens, I will be hitting you up for postage to send it back out. You have been warned. Quote:

I sincerely hope that everyone is enjoying their figures and accs, and is ready for some fun announcements over the next couple of weeks. Lot's of information to settle and share, with something that should interest pretty much everyone.

They said to send the problem items to JE Russell. They gave me his address. My point is that they knew about the wrong Item numbers on the Backerkit BEFORE anything was shipped, and didn't correct it beforehand. I was just wondering if it was a widespread problem or not.

I got my kickstarter figures, the marshal and the sharpshooter. No problems with either one, although I was extremely careful after reading about the problems. I hate to say these are best figures I have seen in years, cause that implies a lot, but they are certainly the most fun figures i have had in years. I have a few more things coming from smalljoes, someday based on their website.
Really disappointing to see the attitude about broken figures and returns. These are such cool figures but if I get bad customer service, which I have not had from CFT by any stretch as of yet, I never go back to a store or business. I am not sure that the Marshal is a good likeness of Kurt Russel but it certainly has the feel of a gunslinger. The sharpshooter to me looks like Curly Bill from Tombstone more so than Quigley. Also, the handguns seem a little overscale. The .45 peacemaker is larger than the one from MGR, so I looked up the size, and I think the MGR one is closer to the right size for the scale. Also, the sharpshooter hat seems a little too big. Maybe not, but it does seem big. Last edited by hardcorps; 07-20-2019 at 08:39 PM.. |

I saw on Facebook a few weeks back it was alluded JE Russell had some cast parts which would compliment the factory items. Possibly there were copyright issues. Anyone know what items these were?
I was hopeful they would get them cast at the factory and simply sell under the table. |
