When the NECA 7" Christopher Reeves Superman came out a few months ago the internet almost crashed with all the complaints on these figures. More than 50% were braking at the limbs from just being removed from the package. Or worst already broken in packages. Transformer Masterpieces have had their share of q/c issues too. Heck for $35+ figures from GIJCC you would expect premium quality. But, I'll just sit in the corner and be grateful for what I have. Even if it's not the best quality product.

My only concern, is that funskool was a cheaper quality of the hasbo arah line, so .....does that mean that future figures could have even more qc issues than the recent 50th line 2.0?

Any factories in India will be producing their product to HASBRO'S specifications, Funskool never did that (partly the reason so many molds got ruined under Funskool's watch)

With oil at $30 a barrel, will Hasbro go back to standard plastic instead of the rubbery crap plastic we've gotten in the last few years? Or will they just maximize there profits with the low oil prices?

The rubbery plastic is a specific kind of plastic mix, formulated to be, well, rubbery. Hasbro uses that kind of plastic for safety and durability purposes, and from what I've been told, is actually more expensive to use than the more rigid plastics fans clamor for. But when was the last time you guys had a hand or hip shatter on a modern GI Joe figure?

Those are completely separate issues.

But really the hands have been getting too soft and rubberbanding weapons in the hands isn't helping please please hasbro stop doing this. It's bad. Just go back to the poc formula. |

China's inflation has been in double digits or around high 9-7% since forever, that means that Chinese wages in cities and factories had to go up by that much as well. Compound the effect every year and their manufacturing wages were bound to be noncompetitive relative to the world economy sooner or later. (not to mention they're actually in an unannounced recession right now)
Now it just remains to see how much manufacturing capacity China will bleed out over the next two decades. Who knows. |

I don't think the quality of a product is dependent on the capacity of one country to produce or manufacture items better than other. Whether it be China, Vietnam or India, Hasbro is dictating how the assembly line should be organized and the quality of the primary goods used. That said, any factory starting from scratch takes time to produce a product at an efficient level...they all need time test, tweak and understand the best way for optimizing their efficiency and QC levels. Thus, if not given the proper time, starting over again in a new country could negatively effect the first few waves coming out...i.e 1st wave of the Force Awakens Black Series. However, while the quality and the types of plastics Hasbro has been using is up for debate, the paint-apps are not...they're worst....a lot worst.............

Not to be all O.T., but does anyone remember that Outsourced sitcom from a few years back? That show was great.
