My thoughts and predictions:
Baroness/CC - Mass Device episode 2-pack - She has a new head and CC has the Mass Device element tube from the episode. Maybe includes a dvd? Python Patrol Officer - Part of a multipack. Maybe that Officer "evolutions" style pack they mentioned before. Roadblock - retooled for a comic pack figure. The vest looks like the Viper/comic pack Firefly that's modified. It even has a filename: Roadblock V2 City Assault Major Bludd - early shot of the figure that was pushed back to be updated. Zartan body with modified crotch & leg. As someone pointed out, look at the pins in shoulder. Sure sign of prototype. I've think I've seen that bionic arm somewhere before, I just can't remember where??? |

These have to be fake. Hasbro would have made this site remove the pics, it's something they do when early pics get put out because it's a misreprentation of final product. Besides I really hope they're fake, Major Bludd and Roadblock look really weak

These are someones home made customs, they are not wave 8. not a chance, they aren't going to push back major bludd to wave eight to have him be zartan with a major bludd head, whoever made these mockups is a decent customizer but that is all.

If these pics are real, they aren't official Hasbro pics of production figures, either (they look like old mock-ups for idea pitching and design ideas).

C'mon, all repaints this a joke right?

I like that some are acting as the voice of reason for those who see doom/gloom for this rather odd early pitch Wave of figures. Unless Hasbro's quality control has taken a dramatic down-turn, I doubt these would be the final product.
Also, the person who indicated that these pics would absolutely be pulled were they legit, is mostly likely right on the money. |

DVD's?

I'd be willing to bet a rather large sum of money the CC and Baroness are from the first mini based on the outfits and crystals. There has been a huge demand for cartoon packs, now my concern is how many packs will we have to buy to get all five episodes? Will it be 5, if so, that will suck, but I do not see them putting all five on one disc...but I do predict a glowing/translucent/radioactive Snake Eyes if its more than one pack.

Especially that 1st mini series Baroness & CC with the element jar. THEORY: Just think of the 1st mini-series (5 episodes) released on DVD, each episode released singley (making 5 packs) with a figure or figures & you have to collect all 5 packs to see all 5 episodes!! Easy way to get both adults & kids on board before more non-Hasbro DVD box sets are officially released of the classic toon again. Hasbro did this with Beast Wars 10th anniversary already, (classic episode DVD/classic figure repaint pack)... & the Battle Packs are like this with a comic being carried over that you have to buy them all to see the full story... Might make sense for some 25th year Joes... a classic DVD episode of the cartoon with a matching repaint/minor retooled figure that is featured on the episode. Just a thought... Furthurmore Hasbro would hold the rights to the DVD property untill somone else buys them up. And there is some future TF stuff coming out with DVDs. Spytroops had DVD packs. PoweredConvoy also mentioned the thought of other figures coming with the different elemental tubes in the pack, so you would have all the elements when you bought them all. |
