So, what all would be needed to adapt the MTF Exo-Suit to a RoboTech Cyclone bike armor?
In terms of keeping as much of the current Exo-Suit and adapting the current parts connectivity/engineering to new parts; what's the minumum number of parts you'd need and how would they link up? |

(Granted, the lines are made by different companies.) On topic: I finally cracked open an older MTF torso a few weeks ago. How aggressive do I need to get gluing the thing back together? What are the odds it will come apart again when I try to reattach it to the waist? Any types of glue recommended? I usually use Loctite Control Gel; specifically, I have a couple of tubes of the "Ultra" stuff which supposedly has a bit more give.

BBTS also has a few of the Cyclones, but only in 1/12 or 1/28 scale, so they probably won't do much good for your purposes:

I have cracked a few torsos and I also use Loc-Tite gel and I have never had any problems putting the torso back onto the waist ball. You should be fine. I usually just give the glue a good 24 hours to cure. While curing, I also keep pressure on the torso with little spring clips. Since the newer torsos are glued a little differently, I have invested in some good reverse pliers and that seems to have helped.

I know I'm not the first to come up with the idea in general* terms, but I did a version of M. Bison patterned after the 1993 Joe figure:
I do plan on eventually painting the blue "stripe" over the zipper, and painting in the blue portion on the hat above the black portion. I know the original figure didn't have the winged skull on the hat, but if I could get a suitable decal I'd probably add it. *see what I did there?
