Was this a email? I just ask because I can't find it if it is. As for the extra free bonus gear I recently had a missing item and Marauders went above and beyond when it came to replacing the missing item. Meets in my opinion is the standard more companies need to strive for.

I would bet the tooling costs for figures is greater than the tooling costs for the gear. So for the American troops (Army, Navy, USMC), you could pretty much go with a collared shirt with chest pockets and baggy pants with side pockets and combat boots. Where I think the variations could come is by offering the US figures with the long shirt/skirt piece (like with the WW2 figures). Then you could just remove the skirt piece to have a tucked-in shirt look. Plus they could offer two different arm types: (1) long sleeve and (2) rolled/cuffed sleeves. Then besides these minor differences, they could offer camouflage paint schemes. I'm just kind of working off my suggested "Stretch Goals" but I could see the actual sculpting break down like this: 1. US Army/Navy/Marine sculpt - OG-107 style w/ shirt-tail/skirt. Some figures with long sleeves, others with rolled/cuffed sleeves. Even the ARVN soldiers used a type of OG-107 uniform (best I can tell) *** The real "variation" here would be with offering certain figures with a bare chest and bare arms, which MJ has already verbally confirmed. They "could" offer the bare-chested figure with differently sculpted legs, but IMHO not necessary. So, I'm simply listing this one as a variant of choice #1. *** 2. NVA/Viet Cong - honestly I could also see this as one sculpt and just offer the NVA in green w/ accessories and the Viet Cong in black and tan/black w/ accessories. Maybe the NVA could have long sleeves and the VC short sleeves. 3. US Army Helicopter Pilot/Door Gunner - Flight Suit. 4. Australian SASR With the WW2 KS, we saw the most variety of figures to date-- 7 different figures, which represent the "basic" WW2 look of each figures (too many people complained about "historical accuracy"). With the Vietnam KS, I see even less variety in the style of clothing besides color and/or camouflage patterns. With the WW2 KS, we also saw the most variety of head sculpts to date -- 10 different sculpts. With the Vietnam uniforms being so close in basic designs, the head sculpts is really where I would like to see more variety. I'm thinking something like this: 1. NVA (Asian) 2. VC (Asian) 3. ARVN (Asian) 4. Sculpted prescription-style glasses (no mustache) 5. Short-hair w/ mustache Light Skin Tone 6. Short-hair w/ mustache Dark Skin Tone 7. Bald-head w/ mustache Light Skin Tone 8. Bald-head w/ mustache Dark Skin Tone 9. Short-hair w/ sunglasses and w/ mustache 10. Australian The "Light Skin Tone" and "Dark Skin Tone" head sculpts need to be sculpted differently like how the current Sentinel and Vanguard head sculpts differ, unlike the painted variant "Trooper" heads. I'm really putting a lot of thought into this KS as I see way more GIJoe customizing potential from this KS than any other to date. Jason

I get what you are saying, but looking back at the history of previous Kickstarters, especially in light of how universal the OG-107 type uniforms were, I seriously doubt there would be a lot of variations

I got my email late last night. I even went and double checked to make sure I actually placed a pre order because I was like don't tell me I've been ordering parts for figures and only thought I had ordered the bodies I wanted. lol

Hey, when you guys are saying you predict/hope that we'll get rolled sleeves, you mean past the elbow, right? That's the biggest thing I'm hoping the kickstarter brings. Although I do hope the 3/4 rolled sleeves that are available now end up being compatible with these upcoming figures as well. Give me this in olive green and tan, and I'll be throwing WAY too much money their way. Other than heads, I bet over 75% of my Joes would be MTF figures.

Some additional headsculpts:
Cigar chomping light skin Cigar chomping dark skin Cigar chomping bald Yelling/screaming light & dark skin Scruffy beard all skin tones, would work good with Navy Seals, Green Berets etc. One eye open headsculpt for snipers

Two guns I would like to see included at the:
Armalite: AR10 https://www.brownells.com/firearms/r...rod115389.aspx 601/AR15 https://www.brownells.com/firearms/r...rod113312.aspx https://www.brownells.com/.aspx/bapi.../brownells-601 The rifles in the links are modern reproductions and are just for reference, plus I think there is some cool info as well.I also realize that these rifles might not be considered Vietnam era rifles but I think they would be a awesome inclusion if for no other reason than they look cool and would be something different to the M16. |

Still got my mind on the upcoming Vietnam KS and something occurred to me, I am pretty sure that MJ Sullivan not only said they were planning to have a bare-chested torso in the Vietnam KS, but also a tank-top torso. If this is the case, then we could add even more variety to Marauder-G.I.Joe customs for characters like Sgt. Slaughter, Roadblock, and Big Lob.
