It is. I tried the ribbed ball design and it fits well, but I'm noticing material rubbing off. I'm going to just adjust ball size and keep it a plain sphere but I'll need to print a series of different diameters and see what balances best between firm placement and ease of installation. I also have to tweak the torso peg to fit a little tighter in the waist (you may have noticed the t-bars are wobbly within the waist on the new figures).

Also, let's pretend I had a half-way clever way to use the words insert...moist...bend...and, uh...shaft.

**facepalm** Look, I love you guys like...well...nearly total strangers, but nobody in this thread has raised concern about delays. This isn't where the debate lies!
Gaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah! My beautiful wall of text...wasted! All for nothing! When it comes to detail, I'm going to stuff in as much as I can. I really want to go deep on the issues. If there are juicy details about the balls, I don't want to sit on them. Also, let's pretend I had a half-way clever way to use the words insert...moist...bend...and, uh...shaft. Jason |

I'm not going to dig out photos for the Luddites, but on Facebook this weekend someone shared photos of Japanese retail packaging for MTF figures.

I bet that sort of thing would sell well through BBTS; but their own site should remain a la carte, imho.

I got the link to work through Google, but couldn't save the pics. Took some pics with of the images on my screen with my iphone. I'll try to upload them later.
It's not that big of deal though. They look more like polybagged items with a topper/hanger that has the Marauder logo. MJ explains in a comment that they "provided a small number [of the new colors] to our good friend in Japan for his upcoming convention." So, I'd bet you that the cards and polybags are customs made by the Japanese friend exclusively for the convention. Jason |
