I'm with you on buyers remorse. It's Not for me. I was hoping for a Command & Conquer experience. Hovering around selecting emplacements to shoot from is dull.

Yeah it gets old real fast. I've also heard from others than online is little better, as you can completely decimate the other team with a single laser turret in your own base.

Ugh serious buyer's remorse here. I finally found it at Wal-mart and it is an abysmal single player game. The campaign is a mind-numbingly boring experience as the A.I. puts up no fight whatsoever. Plus you never get to be on offense unless you play online, (which is something I'm not really into). I was also really disappointed to see only a handful of characters. I found it odd that the developer used the cartoon as an inspiration as their choice of Joes seemed to be more comic-based. Most of the characters in the game had little-to-no presence in the cartoon, (Flash, Grunt, Clutch etc...), although Flint and Bazooka are exceptions to this. It's sad because there are Joes scattered throughout the maps but they are all clones of Grunt and Flash, (or possibly Grand Slam). But at least they fare better than Cobra who has no named characters aside from the Commander himself.
And the game is a glitchy mess on top of this. Mine froze on me four times last night. Not only that but I am not able to use any heroes in campaign mode. The notification pops up but pressing triangle does nothing. I finished 4 levels and was not able to use my heroes once despite the bar being full most of the time. The only time this feature worked was during the tutorial. I think Signal really blew an opportunity with this game. They had the license so why did they limit themselves so much? I can see why they said the game featured "He-man" and not the "Masters of the Universe", as they used none of the great characters from that franchise either. I can totally see why Ubisoft didn't send out review copies of this game.

I am still waiting for the PC version to be available and this is making me wonder if I shouldn't reconsider altogether. I may watch more gameplay videos and reviews first. I was really hoping this would be great. It did bother me that they didn't include Skeletor and his minions as an army to oppose He-Man, but I figured if the game was fun it wouldn't matter.
I won't lie - I most likely would have bought this game anyway because it's probably the only time we will ever see Clutch in a video game, but I am feeling a little sick I spent $40 on this thing right now. It's a horribly unfinished, unpolished game. There are even more bugs I didn't even mention but other people have brought up on the official forums and on Gamefaqs.

Its now up on Steam so I will to give it a shot. Fingers crossed they support the game and provide patches to fix some of its issues.

So far, this games seems like a bummer. I guess I'll pick it up when it's on clearance for $10 or something.
It could have been so much better. :( |

Yeah, "wasted potential" is the best way to describe this game IMO.

thank you for all your reviews. Is there a demo for people to try before spending money on it?

I'm liking it. Started figuring it out this evening. I kept wondering what the batteries are for. Then once I unlocked Hero Duke I realized they are for keeping your hero around longer. I got to take the Dragonfly up and used the MMS & Flak.
Fast paced action with Joe vehicles and characters? Sure why not!
