I think G.I. Joe will always be viewed as a core fan driven brand. I wish Hasbro all the luck in trying to get a new generation of G.I. Joe Collectors. But, honestly I don't see it happening, well not to the heights of '80s G.I. Joe. :(

That's good news, about the figs continuing to be modern era, and no loss of articulation. As long a that continues, and hopefully throw in some vehicles, and maybe a playset, or two, I will be a happy man.
Don't care a bit for anything in a larger scale, or anything else really, other than some cool modern era 3 3/4 articulated figs, bring em on. |

Very good news all round, and a fair assessment. One thing I'm going to disagree with you Destro is that, and while I might be in the minority, I'd rather have the kind of game we're getting with Toy Soldiers than a GI Joe game modeled after Call of Duty or SW Battlefront.
Thanks again for the coverage of "Toy Soldiers: War Chest" I seriously believe that game is going to be the GI Joe highlight of the year. |

I just wish Toy Soldier was available on PS3 and especially Xbox 360.

For G.I. Joe to be a success again I believe that these changes should be made
1. Return to the o-ring construction for figures with the same amount of articulation points that the figures have had in the past. 2. A cartoon on a channel that is accessible on lower level cable plans. 3. A comic that is fun, has good art, has good engaging storytelling, is compelling to readers of all ages. 4. G.I. Joe must have a presence in other areas of merchandising (i.e. video games, apparel, school supplies, etc.) |

^ Got to disagree with O-ring construction for the new line. There's a reason the Club quit making them. They weren't selling to the degree ME construction was. I still think O-ring enthusiasts should get a bone or two thrown their way now and then though.

No more o-ring figures, please. Stop living in the past.
I'll make one exception, I wouldn't mind a special line of o-ring '80s characters who never got the o-ring treatment, like Pythona and Dr. Venom. |

Depreist and Weber need to be asked, VERY pointedly why Gung ho and Alpine are short packed. That is UNSAT.

Put a daily ARAH style cartoon back on the air and the toy line will reach the heights it did in the 80's. Not talking about the Renegades or Sigma 6 flops. Needs to have the quality of the 80's series.
