Thanks for dipping in, Andrew. A couple questions if you get around to them:
1) Pretty stoked about the Retro-Space line. Are you guys planning on releasing each series via Kickstarter? 2) How much does it generally cost to create/produce a whole figure? From draft to finish, if that's a question you can answer. If not, no biggie. Sorta ties into one of sbartek1974's questions. Thank you guys for all that you do. Your attention to detail and passion for what you do is quite obvious and much appreciated. Can't wait for more of BFS' work! |

The hope is that sales of each series will fund the next, but we might have to do a KS campaign for some items. 2. Development is thousands, Tooling/Manufacture is tens of thousands. |

What's your itinerary like for your trip to China? What do you hope to get done? Is this your first time visiting a factory?

I love the fact that great emphasis was put on articulation range. Too many Joe's have been made with limited range, especially in the hips, due to a sloppy design but I feel as if you guys really nailed it. I think these figues will look great in some of the 1/18 vehicles.
Those designs for the space figures are exactly what I'm looking for in a line of future space themed action figures. I can see me dumping retarded amounts of money into their retail store or future Kickstarters. |

All things appear and disappear because of the concurrence of causes and conditions. Nothing ever exists entirely alone; everything is in relation to everything else. Don't be a stranger Andrew from BFS, come back soon.

Andrew, I have a question (or maybe more of a comment...)
I have heard you guys on some podcasts when asked about future potential Kickstarters. Your responses at times have given me the impression that BFS thinks people don't like the Kickstarters and would rather purchase through a BFS store. Speaking for myself, I loved the Kickstarter. For those of use that want complete sets, it worked out great and cost per figure was wonderful. So as far as I am concerned, I would love to see more Kickstarters and prepay. I guess my meandering question would be something like this: Is it better for BFS to do the Kickstarter or not? Obviously there are fees involved to KS, and the checkout system. But on the plus side you are able to pre-collect the money and people are essentially buying in bulk. Do you have a gut feeling if it shakes out positive for you guys or if you would've done better business selling piecemeal through your own storefront? (Obviously this can't be given a rock solid answer... just wondering what your instincts are, or if the answer is totally clear, possibly because the fees are high or something). Thanks! (And please make sure to always leave the door open to the Club... without BFS involvement, MY gut tells me their product would suffer... and we need you guys to keep the Joe spirit alive!!!) |

But seriously, I love the work you guys have been putting in for the GI Joe Club line and look forward to seeing what you guys have in store in the future. Keep up the excellent work. |
