i'm not getting mad about the goggles until we KNOW he doesn't have them ~ I just don't see Hasbro sculpting a pair of goggles for CP Firefly alone.
(but honestly i wouldn't be that bother either ways, like folks have said, it's a bit silly for a guy with a full face helmet to have goggles ~ BUT!!! like DeathX360 said they do add some visual appeal to the otherwise fairly plain helmet)

They all look good enough for me to buy. I'm a little bummed that Spirit may have Shipwreck's popeye arms. I also find it odd that the Viper has rolled up sleeves that could have been reused for Spirit's upper arms. I hope they modifiy the HISS driver's crotch, because the photo leads me to believe his in-tank sitting ability may be hindered. Regardless, they still look very cool...

Wild Bill - Man oh man, this guy looks so good. I love the removable hat feature and the detailed belt with the longhorn!
H.I.S.S. Driver - Looks as good as I hoped it owuld! This was my first figure ever (along with Tripwire) as a little kid and this brings back good memories. I love this figure. Viper - I never had one as a kid but I love this guy. The guy definitely has two chest peices, just hidden by the vest. I wouldn't worry about the goggles yet. These are pre-production stills since these aren't even coming out until May, so there's plenty of time to include 'em. Even if they don't make sense, they belong on him. Spirit - I loved this guy back in '84 and this figure improves on that sculpt immensely. He looks like a badass. Freedom also looks good, too! Snake Eyes (v3 Swordsman) - I had a friend in grade school who had this figure and even though I had already left GI Joe, I liked that figure. This figure is very good looking indeed! I praise Hasbro for their willingness to listen to not only the older '82-'85 fans, but also the '86 and up fans. Kudos to them for making post '86 figures more frequently now (v2 SS, IG Destro, BA CC, Red Star and now SE v3. I sense a lot more or on the way). Duke - Okay, the figure is definitely the most underwhelming of this bunch. But, the flag and jetpack are good enough additions for me to add him to my growing 25th collection! All in all, this wave is definitely a great one. I like that we got 1983, 1984, 1986 and 1989 figures making appearances, which is what Hasbro needs to start doing each wave. Makes everybody happy and also makes the waves more interesting. Keep up the great work there, Hasbro!!!!!!! Keep cranking them out and we will keep eating them up and buying as many as you can throw at us! |

DUKE: Right from the movie OP!! Love the flag & Jet pack & the variation on the color, wish he had some new arms & head though! Wil prolly buy 2 extra for Grandslam & Stalker so they have a jetpack too!
WILD BILL: already talked about this leak. (Glasses look a bit narrow in the center in this pic though) SPIRIT: Looks good! Can't tell you how happy I am that he is a NATIVE AMERICAN skin tone!! Makes a big difference in his presentation! He does look a bit anime like some of the earlier sculpts (Scarlett) but I am very happy with this one!! SNAKE EYES: For the win!! The original was great!! This one is even better, & when I'm using one of my other versions of Snake Eyes I'll make this one Ninja Spiderman so they can be on the same episode!! j/k ...I'm glad they did this version of SE as the original version of this figure just might have been the best SE in the whole ARAH line from a toy perspective. Thumbs up on all the gear & the possibility of removable knives!! HISS: Probably may "fave of the wave!!" Looks like a removable helmet that will have...you guessed it, the Cobra Trooper head underneath, I'm so glad they made this classic character!! And a pistol to boot! VIPER: Viper looks good, like the gun & figure coloring a lot!! He needs his goggles though, hopefully they are removable & were forgotten for the pic. He is gonna be a hard guy to find, I can tell already... ^_- |

Guys, the more I look at them the more I love them. They are awesome. For 25 years, this is the second times that Hasbro does something right for the Joes products. The only concern that I have is whether Hasbro crank up the production or not.

The HISS driver looks cool as hell. I'm laughing at the Duke... he just looks so silly with such a bright shirt.
Spirit's head is funny, but hopefully those are just proto's and it may change by production.

This is V3 snake eyes that they have remade for this wave: http://www.yojoe.com/action/89/snakeeyes3.shtml And this is the crappy ninja force snake eyes(version 5) http://www.yojoe.com/action/93/snakeeyes5.shtml Last edited by Dark 5cythe; 01-17-2008 at 11:15 PM.. |

WILD BILL: Not doing a lot for me. I'm hoping I'll warm up to him when I see him in person.
SPIRIT: No complaints here. Looks like a homerun. SNAKE EYES: No, Hasbro. I have a 25th ann. Snake Eyes and I'm happy with it. I will buy no more. HISS: Superb! I was kind of suprised to hear this figure was coming out carded, but I'm certainly happy. VIPER: Excellent! |

I would say the vipers wrists are actually for once oriented correctly to hold a rifle, the angle should put the stock under his forearm.
