If this is true, it sounds like more of the same, just bigger. Not really the change the brand needs though. Maybe if they do a collector's line (Black Series) and a kid's line tied in with a toon and etc... All I know is I see Star Wars Black Series everywhere and they're always the same 3 or 4 figures. If that's happening with Star Wars, how's a G.I. Joe Black Series gonna perform? I predict pegs full of Dukes & Roadblocks. That is, once again, if this comes to pass.

I am not in, but it seems like clear that this is what toys need. I just hit a big comic/collectable store, and there were a lot of these kinda toys.
Also Giant-size Dengar, Gonk droid, and 4-Lom sitting around at $90 each. I think, "same format, new size" probably strikes the decision-makers as the only way to build a new sales-base as large as the original because, frankly, we already have all the characters at the 4"ish-scale. So, good-to-go. Last edited by Stalker; 10-22-2014 at 08:20 PM.. |

I think it's great that Hasbro might fill another niche for some of you, but I don't get it.
What would the purpose be? Seems like a 20 dollar figure is going to be a harder sell than 10 bucks. As far as we know; no new media is coming soon. At least with the Star Wars they have TV shows and are supported by Disney's marketing now. I could see this as a one time exclusive figure, either to gauge interest, or some weird experiment like the Joe and Transformer crossover. My vote is no; my budget it tapped, I cannot justify a 20 dollar figure. While this is my vote, I AM ALL FOR NEW GI JOE PRODUCT! |

And now you know... just how deeply Hasbro disregards the fans and collectors. This particular exercise has been tried before, complete with media crossover and animated TV tie-in. It was called Sigma Six, and there's no need to rehash it's sordid history. Suffice it to say that GI Joe collectors cannot be diverted from their roots, whether they be 12" or 4". A high-priced 6" line is TOTALLY DOOMED.

NO NO NO!!!!! This totally sucks. I hate 6 inch figures in general but GI Joe is 3 3/4 inch and nothing else. I will never buy these.
Think about this everyone. Focus on bettering the line not changing the scale. I already hate the kreo crap but I let that go, remake some of the modern era that were messed up in their first run (Ex: Major Bludd) before making stupid 6 inch Joes. YUCK, even typing that makes me sick. Where's your standards. I almost feel like Hasbro could announce they're doing a My Little Pony/ Gi Joe cross over line and people on here would be okay with it. Probably are a bunch of Bronys on here anyway wanting 6 inch black series Joes. Freakin be a proper GI Joe fan please!!!!

I fought the Star Wars 6" series for awhile before I caved. I'm in for iconic characters and appearances. ARAH Shipwreck, B.A.T. and Snow Serpent excite me.
So 12" dolls, then? |
