Ignoring the distinct likelihood that this relaunch will begin with movie product for the third movie...I'm going to guess the second-most-likely option will be ARAH characters in a new/rebooted setting...just like Sigma 6 or Renegades. They'll be trying to have their cake and eat it too, not just in terms of holding onto trademarks, but trying to entice older collectors while reaching for the younger market.
I'd be very surprised to see them ditch ARAH altogether prior to the Third movie, if ever. If this guy was a Generations brand manager, he's also probably an 80's child and has nostalgic attachment to the 80's Joes. |

I think They (Habsro) will try something new for Joe like mashers or sigma 6-maybe even 6 inch realistic. I think Hasbro will be more aggressive going forward with the DTC /internet based business , and start their own Clubs like MOTUC. I think this may affect the GIJCC. Hasbro should be able to appease the loyal/vocal fanbases of their properties like TF/Joe/MLP and new stuff like visionairies maybe....making internet offers for 'fans' and then focus the properties in other forward looking ways at retail.....
Hasbro-hires new pres, this guy becomes brand manager of Joe relaunch (if true), Club clears out their store rooms and no FSS reveals to speak of like before, Toy Guru leaves mattel for another Job, Hasbro brands visionairies....... I suspect hasbro is changing their business model...as the boys lines are confused by average customers vs fan/collector customers......So hasbro must have enough internal charts and info to go forward with their new plans.... i suspect Hasbro is gonna diverge retail and do something web based for collectors. It could all be coincidence as well................

More Like EagleHawk and New Cobra Wolf...less like Sigma 6 and Extreme.

I'd lean towards relaunch being something along the lines of Sigma Six or Renegades. ARAH characters but not the ARAH setting.
Give the kids their own version to get in on, still have connections for the nostalgia crowd and the ability to throw "classics" into the line now and then.

A toy that displays and is actually fun to play with. That could get the young folks on board.

Are Visionaries coming back in 4 inch? I keep seeing reference to them that would be cool.

I'd be very surprised to see them ditch ARAH altogether prior to the Third movie, if ever. "Soft reboot" the line with the split market segments (6" for collectors, something else for kids), get Joe back on shelves and transition at some point in early-mid 2016 to movie product (assuming stuff is on shelves by fall 2015, which judging from SW Saga Legends...is doable depending on when things got going). The bigger question is what will that kid segment mean? I'm giving it a toss up between a 2.5 line like what is being done for Marvel stuff, or a reduced POA 4" line.
