It looks to me that both new lines fit together nicely with Eagle Force line and for that matter modern GI Joe collections/figures. Sounds great bring it guys!!!
As a collector I'm down with it and ready to support it!!! Now can I have it as soon as possible? This weekend would be great! |

Wait: he figured it out, Bill!
I think the real trick is in making Monster Force work as part of Eagle Force, in a way that seems naturalistic and downright cool, and also grows the brand and the world into something that's more than just cool super-spies. There's some really amazing stuff that will go on, from a storytelling perspective, for MF, and I think it succeeds. In short: I'm having trouble keeping the Monster Force energy in check while vibing off the retro Eagle Force energy for this set of cards. You guys are in for a treat with this line, just as Heroes vs Villains--REDACTED. |

"but I can't be the only one wondering about a classic Eagle Force update in their proper GOLD uniforms. While this Monster Force seems like an intriguing concept, was this something any collectors were really asking for"
While they may not have asked for this precisely, it is exactly this type of innovation that collectors needed. This kind of thinking helps a line grow and thrive in a cluttered marketplace that is increasingly specialized and parsed down. Take a beloved concept that has very "hip/retro" vibe (ie Classic Monsters) and generate SCI-Fi toy buzz while adding in dimension and depth to a fledgling "universe." This kind of concept is exactly what the market needs presently. Broad nostalgic appeal that allows a line of pretty obscure (but very cool) military toys to get built around. I think this idea is "Golden" and allows for things like getting classic Gold uniformed figures made as part of multi-wave, broad based product plan. Utilizing Classic Collector Cards, Digital Comics, Kickstarter, & Social Media as part of an innovative go to market platform is a study in the "New-age" toy company. These guys are demonstrating considerable skill not just in the creative side, but the business and marketing of this type of product. These guys are playing "chess", not "checkers". I say "Bravo, Well Played!!" BTW - I almost never post. This is the just the second one since joining in 2009. I do read posts here voraciously, but on this occasion, felt compelled to speak up about how exciting this line has become. Fresh Monkey Fiction/Remco are doing some really smart work. Anyway...monsters are not for me, but I like Fresh Monkey Fiction's direction and tie-in to EF. This way, others get their monsters, and that same vehicle will help me score more EF/military figures. Win-win!

Monsters were not for me either, but I have a pretty strong feeling they will be now. I will be getting two of each, one for my Eagle Force collection and one for some cool Marvel customs. Especially the HvV figs shown so far, gonna be some cool SHIELD Agents and cool SS Agents so two of each of those as well. I am stepping up selling some other stuff so I can concentrate on the Fresh Monkey/Remco universe stuff.

Starting to lose track of the Fresh Monkey kickstarters, those already launched and those in the pipeline. I backed the Eagle Force figure one.
Have any of the earlier figure kickstarters delivered their product yet? |

The Amazing Heroes, the first toy line, came in a bit over a year ago (got 'em proudly sitting on a shelf in the office--with Madman getting a place of honor on my desk). Bill has been doing a great job keeping backers up to date on EF: they're scheduled for next January, but he can tell you more.
