Comic Book Resources interviewed Karen Traviss and she reveals the Joe team in the upcoming relaunch. Scarlett, MAINFRAME, Flint, Roadblock, and Helix. The Cobra roster is Tomax, Baroness, Siren, and Siren's son, and a new character named Josh.
Novelist Karen Traviss Flips the Script in IDW's "G.I. Joe" #1 - Comic Book Resources Based on what I'm reading it's not sounding all that great..*sigh*

Sigh too.
Was that a interview about the new comic or a interview about her novel where she mentions her Joe comic side project. Couldn't tell from all the times she name dropped her book. Same artist from the superhero design joe comic :( Writer that reworks the entire joe vs cobra formula again :( At least they're making a joe comic ? I guess I will buy one or two issues based on the brand name alone and hope for the best. |

I love how she claims her views are never reflected in her work. That was one of the bigger complaints about her star wars novels, was how her personal opinion of jedi and other things found it's way into her stories. So be expecting that in the comic.
Not to sound like I'm on some kind of fan boy rage fit. But I won't be buying any of these new comics because of her. Which kind of sucks because I really do like the art work they've shown in the previews. |
