I'm waiting word on this too, but it's my impression they will be from the game as well.

Well, yeah, but there are a number of Marines from the game to choose from. Winter and O'Neil are probably the most likely to be made, but then there's also Bella, Cruz, Reid, Hicks, Bishop... maybe Keyes and/or the co-op campaign characters like Redding and Quintaro if they feel really ambitious. It would be cool to see generic USCM figures based on the various Marine NPCs encountered over the course of the game, too, especially since Winter and Hicks (and to a much lesser degree, Keyes) are the only significant characters who wear the full armour with helmets.

"7: There has been mention that the Marines themselves are a possible future release for you. If so, will there be character likenesses? Yes, Marines will be our next plan to release. But we have not selected characters yet, still lots of focusing on existing Alien(Soldier, Lurker, Spitter, Boiler) to speed up mass production completion. Once selected we will first publish news on our website and social networks." Considering this interview as just 19 days ago and the first wave of figures have yet to be released no new info as of yet.

2: Don't be too hard on Gorman. He was basically along for the ride specifically because Burke wanted someone young, inexperienced and easily-overwhelmed as the mission leader, but he still managed to redeem himself after a fashion in the end. |

Do they have the rights to produce characters from the film? Hicks might be a different story, given he appeared in the game, but I don't know about the rest. 1: Do xenomorphs actually eat? 2: Don't be too hard on Gorman. He was basically along for the ride specifically because Burke wanted someone young, inexperienced and easily-overwhelmed as the mission leader, but he still managed to redeem himself after a fashion in the end. 2) dunno, I would assume they need some form of nourishment they cant get it all from the queen unless she just randomly creates milk for her hive...maybe thier teeth and internal organs they gain from their hatching life form are just vestigial and for show? They were in retreat and loosing viciously though, so he took the easy way out with a grenade vs trying to save Vasquez like her Knight in shinning armor, he needed to run off and draw the aliens away from the gorup...then we can talk about redeeming himself

Again, I don't know just how the licencing works; do you get to make just the figures or are vehicles mixed in with that contract? How long do you have the licencing for? A year? 2? 10? How much can a small company produce in that finite time? I know all prototypes have to be approved by Fox but what happens when you want to use an actual persons likeness? What happens when you are basing your figure off of a digital rendering of a character from a movie? Does that count as royalties to the actor? There are a whole bunch of things that Hiya legally may be unable to do but it's going to depend on customers supporting their line. If it's lucrative enough for them to keep purchasing the licencing renewal to make more figures for the line then we may get to see other stuff people have been wanting badly, (APC, yes?) So we will have to see.

That's assuming that I'm reading the above-quoted statement correctly, though. I'm not entirely certain of how one is to interpret it. Quote:
I attempted to ask this in question #6 but the answer is a little vague about that. Right now I think how it works is they have the rights to the "Colonial Marines" game which pertains to the characters and vehicle there within and the only character crossover from Aliens was Hicks, (if I remember correctly,) but the vehicles made the cross so things like the power loader (they are working on making that right now) might be something they have the rights to produce.

Given their acidic blood and generally bio-mechanical physiology, it's possible that they may essentially be battery-powered...
I'm not sure how one can be "loosing viciously" (sounds like a description of severe diarrhea, to be frank; e.g. "his bowels were viciously loosing themselves despite his best efforts"), but I don't think Gorman had too many options there, other than leaving Vasquez to die, which likely wouldn't sit well with the guilt he was already carrying over the loss of his other troops. And to be fair, Vasquez seemed just as willing to detonate that grenade. That's assuming that I'm reading the above-quoted statement correctly, though. I'm not entirely certain of how one is to interpret it. Complicated stuff. If the APC doesn't work out, thouh, I guess there's always the RHINO.

I'm so confused with loosening.
