It’s easy money in the bank, I mean yes we love buy their stuff but being a customizer I’d spend even more on seperate parts along with the figures, it’s a win win.

I would buy more stuff from them if the accessories were sold that way. Right now I want the half capes they are selling but do not want all the other gear they have with it for 14.99. I would buy of those if they came in a set of just capes. Like 10 capes for 14.99

The difference is that MJ set his company up as a parts library from the get-go and has essentially no packaging work done to any of his products. You're not asking BFS to copy MF; you're asking BFS to start up a separate company with a whole new production, shipping, and tracking line requiring more work within their pre-existing company that already has a production, shipping, and tracking line for the same items. With no solid numbers supporting the idea that the effort would be profitable, much less profitable in the long run.

I agree that buying parted out gear would be great. I found it odd that you got male and female kit but only one spear (and often no aspis), because in my mind a hoplite without a shield and spear is not a hoplite. I suspect the difference is that running a business like Marauder is probably labor intensive on the supply end, as they have to count and sort every single little pouch and magazine the customer ordered. BFS has other work besides their own direct sales, so I suspect the effort involved with that kind of business model would be prohibitive.
Edit: Ah, Ozy beat me to it but the sentiment is the same. Man-hours and logistics needs are completely different. |

I'd buy more if they sold individual pieces. Businesses need to grow.

Looking through their stuff I would definitely buy more if they sold parts. I am certainly interested in their human head sculpts for customs. Since I’m only interested in Joes I have very little need for anything medieval or non- human for the most part.
I ordered a Knight Set that includes 3 human heads just to get those and some parts. The rest can go up for trade as a fodder lot. Since this is actually my first order with them... Are they normally slow to ship? I received a notice a few days after I placed my order. It stayed that my order was being packaged and I would receive tracking info when it shipped. That’s the only notice I have. Not complaining, simply curious if it normally takes a while to ship product.

Commando, yes it generally takes 2-3 weeks oce your order is made. Mainly they are still growing and get swamped with orders, don’t worry though it will get there.
