I just pray they do not cancel the ARAH series after issue 200. That would be the death nail for me. The cover for 197 looks interesting, but I wish they would stop drawing every character so skinny. It makes them look like wimps. What the hell is up with the cover for the DDP America's Elite book? It seems like they are deliberately making the covers look awful and cheesy to make IDW look better by comparison. Very strange marketing strategy. i would cheerfully welcome Brandon Jerwa to ANY of these titles!!!! |

Well it gave us some great comics, but Cobra is gone with the latest solicits. Van Lente is leaving GI Joe too. I wish IDW had a relationship with this site so maybe they could let us in on what to expect. Hopefully newsarama will get some info.

I'm kind of shock, how's Cobra getting canceled????
I like both G.I.joe and SM despite what people say but so far IDW's strongest is Cobra Files, Dixon's book it's not bad at all but needs a different artist just that. And ARAH has improved, i couldn't read that book really, don't like the sillines, i'm drawn to military stuff. If anyone can replace Van Lente on GIjoe could be Nathan Edmonson from Image's book The Activity, he knows military books and large casts, and would help the editors be more concise about the characters. |

I'm sad to see Cobra Files go, as it's always been my favorite Joe book. But given the timing with VanLente leaving Joe proper, I'd be really surprised if he's not announced as the new G.I.Joe writer.
It's too soon to relaunch a new Cobra book, and Cobra Files isn't selling *so* far below the other books or under its historical lows that I'd imagine they'd cancel it. But I could see how Costa on a book titled "G.I.Joe" would sell more than a book titled "Cobra." At least I hope this is the case. |

I hate to see Cobra go, but it would even be more of a shame if we lost Costas b/c of it.

Yeah, I just found out about that. Needless to say I'm pissed. I might cancel the rest of my Joe subscriptions because of this crap...

You know, this IS petty griping, because I myself can barely draw at all. I would enjoy the G.I. Joe title if Kurth just drew it a little differently. he is easily capable of doing so, but the style for this book really irks me. What is going ON with Roadblock's head? Why do most people have teeny Jackson-esque noses?

Cobra(Files) getting canceled just plain sucks donkey balls. Is IDW being run by Hasbro, where the good $#!+ we want ends up being canceled? I also don't like how they keep mentioning "____issues to #200." It's probably to drum up interest for the 200th issue of A Real American Hero, but I'm worried it might get canned too. Even if it is selling better than the main Joe title.
