The new Star Wars 6" Inch Black Series has finally landed. After months of teasers San Diego Comic Con marked the initial release in this new Star Wars line, giving fans highly detailed 6 Inch Star Wars figures for the first time.
Boba Fett being the first figure released at SDCC 2013 and setting the tone for the future of the line, is one of the best action figure sets of the year. I am a fan Star Wars but have never collected the line until now. Since picking up Boba Fett I have went out and picked up all of wave one that includes Darth Maul, Luke Skywalker, R2D2 and Sand Trooper. When the idea of a 6" Inch Star Wars line hit, collectors of the line were sceptical and majority reacted in a negative manner. Since then I have seen a big shift towards the up-side of Black Series and many NEW COLLECTORS jumping on board to get their hands on the set. Our question to G.I. Joe fans is this: Do you want a 6" Inch G.I. Joe Black Series Line? We have had this conversation in the past, but we have never had an example like Star Wars Black Series to view, and show how awesome Hasbro product can be in 6" Inch scale. If you think you already have your mind made up, we just ask that you take a look at the gallery attached to this story before you comment. HISSTANK.com Discussion Topic G.I. Star Wars fans will buy anything that has a label on it. I don't think this will fly with Joe fans. But Hasbro can try. At least they will be doing something with Joes unlike right now, where it is pretty much abandoned!!!

No thank you. I think the POC/30th figs were a "Black" series given the detail of the figs. and accessories. Please bring back that quality to the figures.

The Star Wars line are nice looking, but I think most of us are way too invested in 1:18th-3 3/4" to want to either switch or simultaneously collect another line. Not to mention, we've seen so many cost cutting measures in the last year I have a hard time imagining that Hasbro would want to shell out that kind of money for a whole new set of tooling since nothing could be reused at that scale.
I'll tell you what I do think a lot of Joe fans would get behind though, are large scale reproductions of original figures, like Gentle Giant has done with some of the vintage Star Wars line.

Love the new SW "Black" stuff, but have no intention of grabbing them all, just a few personal favorites. Would love to see a 6" Joe line of maybe some fan faves?

They look great, but no. I enjoyed the Sigma 6 line which, while different aesthetically than what has come before had many of the same hallmarks of the Black Series. Larger scale, highly detailed, lots of articulation. It was a neat line and I did buy a bunch, but the limits are obvious and that lesson would carry over to a new line at yet another size.
I would rather get two PoC style figures over one six inch figure that doesn't fit in with anything else Joe has offered (well to be fair, I'd rather get three figures for twenty bucks, but it looks like two is it now). |

I said, "yes" but only if it was based on ARAH characters. If not, no I wouldn't buy any.
