Gee, that reminds me of a time when Coca-Cola "re-invented" Coke. Everyone rioted in the streets. It wasn't because their whole existence revolved around Coke and changing it would remove the one thing they clung to. No. Rather they just like Coke the way it was and cared enough to voice their opinion.
I kinda remember Coca-Cola going back to the formula that the fans loved. Take a note Gunslinger. Sometimes your arguements label people and draw lines in the sand. Sometimes it's a little more simple than that. DD

you couldn't be more wrong about new coke. New Coke was a prime example of the personal attachment people have with a brand. there have been numerous case studies done on this very fact.
new Coke was a direct response to Pepsi's growing market share. believing that consumers liked the sweeter taste of Pepsi than Coke, Coke developed a new, sweeter version. and the fact is, people loved the taste of new coke, and in blind taste tests it scored higher than both regular Coke and Pepsi. so, why did it fail? because Coke failed to grasp the emotional connection their consumers had with the original flavor. the problem wasn't New Coke, it was the fact that Coke pulled the original formula off the shelf. that was what consumers were angry about, and New Coke was their vehicle to voice it. had they just kept both formulas on the shelf, nobody would have been angry. google New Coke case study, it will pop come up. you've mistakenly simplified this matter. now, you could make the argument that Hasbro is doing the same thing with this movie as Coke did with New Coke by ignoring the strong emotional attachment the consumers have with RAH and replacing it with New Joe, just as Coke did with New Coke. the problem, though, is that Coke wasn't trying to gain new customers, they were trying to maintain their market share (they are already the biggest brand in the word -- nowhere else to go). Hasbro, on the other hand, isn't trying to maintain anything, they are trying to grow the Joe brand with an entirely different consumer segment, and if a major motion picture can do that, they will dump us all in a heartbeat for whatever the filmmakers want if it reaches that segment and catapults toy sales. My point was spot-on. EPIC WIN!!! Unfortunately, your train wreck of a response was an...

the true fans remark was a snide remark made about the people who have used that very ridiculous term. it wasn't aimed at applying to anybody else. and I didn't backtrack off of anything. I don't think anybody could have reasonably interpreted my original post to mean EVERY Joe fan.

Actually, not only is the snake good for an Indy dio. You should also be able to use the CC figure as well. Take that mask off to reveal his hamburger face and throw a black jacket and hat on and stand him in front of the ark. He will look like Tout with his face melting.

Thank you. I think the only thing that may redeem this abortion of a movie for me might be to have the Baroness do a nude scene. Or maybe when they flash back to Duke being engaged to her (buh!) they ought to show her "Dominatrix Dungeon" scene.
That would be very nice. I'd see this movie a few times for that!

there is no leeway in this matter for me to give to your point of view because this isn't a matter of opinion. you're not liking an answer because it counters your own doesn't invalidate it. not to mention your complete lack of ability to address the points I presented that dispute your claim, and instead your reliance on one of the most basic examples of a flawed argument and logic, the ad hominem attack where you are attempting to reject my positions by focusing on irrelevant claims about me. well done. Wrong, 'slinger.
See, I got you figured out. You're not getting what you want from me. You find someone else to give you your jollies with an endless debate where you blatently dis-regard fact and instead counter-reply with a holier-than-thou arguement that honestly is lacking in common sense. I'm done with you. And you can't comment on my intellect. You can't even pretend to know me. Besides, these are just collectibles and movies. Not worth the effort. I got you figured out, bro!

clearly you must be joking. you seriously can't be disputing researched fact without anything to counter it simply because it counters your uneducated opinion and proves you wrong. what are you, a 5 year old girl with her fingers in her ear screaming "nananana, I can't hear you!" simply because you don't want to face the truth and admit you're wrong?

Secondly, we all know research is padded in some way. Am I the only one here who distrusts research? Of course research would prove that Coke is this, cigarettes are okay or this drug does that, these companies want to get paid. They don't care about the customer unless they are getting paid. They, the add men and women, create fantasies so people can be distracted. Don't believe any of it? You think this bail out is going to do us any good? You think there really were weapons of mass destruction? Distraction, distraction, distraction!!!
