Storm Shadow: even though there are 853,423 other versions of Storm Shadow, this one looks pretty badassed! I love the weapons case, too.
Firefly: Yeah, I'm feeling the potential for this mold to be used later as a Shockwave figure. Again, I dig the weapons case. Shipwreck: Glad to see he comes with his hook and rope. I agree that they should have just stuck a new head on this figure and called him "Cutter" though. Copperhead: I missed the MC version, but now I don't feel bad as this guy looks great! Red Star: I for one have always liked Red Star. He looks more like Col. Brekhov though. Duke: As everyone's already commented, "Why not just make this a "Grunt" figure? Or at least make a Duke that paid tribute to his awesome 1992 figure? I'll still buy this 2-pack , but Duke will go in my Joe box and be forgotten forever. They're all great looking figures, the Firefly/Storm Shadow set is my personal favorite with Shipwreck & Copperhead a close second.

I really wish they'd make other characters, but oh well. I'll still buy them.
I'm a little dissapointed seeing Shipwreck with a life-vest, the way Hasbro made it sound the life-vested figure was supposed to be something. Not just another repaint. But it's nice to see Copperhead, I know a lot of fans have been screaming for him for a while. And it looks like a removable helmet. I'll have to brush up on Red Star, I don't recall him from the Marvel line. But that's one of my points, he's so obscure, why even make him a figure? Oh well. I'm not in charge.

Love the copperhead...although I hope they fix the left hand since they used Roadblocks arms before he comes out.. Having him witha gaping left hand and no machine gun would be silly.
FF's colors are definitly better than the first release figure. SS.. different, that is all that matters to me. Duke... a little customizing and you can have grunt. Brekov....a.k.a. red star. Not sure I like the fixed hands, but I like the over all look of the figure.

Damn they nailed Firefly. I was not that happy with their first attempt. His colors were too light and the chest harness looked unbalanced - the gear was too close to his head and made the figure look too skinny. Now with these darker colors and bulky vest he looks soooo much better.

Allrighty
Firefly: I'm down with making an 'ultimate' Firefly from the 2 versions. not feeling the vest on him. Some folks mentioned it looked like Shockwave's, but i was thinking that might be a Viper preview. The backpack is amazing, can't believe they painted the clippers. More apropriate rifle too. Storm Shadow: Hrmm. do we really need a shirtless SS? however, one of my red Ninjas will be happy to take the sickle weapon, and you could take this versions lower legs and backpack and give it to the v2 Stormy to make him look more unique. Copperhead: nice, although his arms are a bit on the beefy side. Should have used Gung-Hos instead of Roadblocks. nice update overall, best of the wave as far as 'classic' versions are concerned. Shipwreck: Should have been Cutter. and his hat looks silly in blue. Duke: gets a bit of a WTF? from me. do we really need a "year 1" style Duke? So close to being Grunt, maybe a Flash head on there would do the trick if Grunt isn't announced soon. If we had to have another Duke, could have at least Done tiger Force Duke. Red Star: a nice update of the original (i would have subdued the blue down though, pretty bright in those photos. A perfect example though of an opportunity where they could have done one of the "Classic" Oktober Guard characters instead of one that's pretty damn obscure. (i do like obscure, don't get me wrong). I like him, just a weird choice to me. (maybe would have been less wierd in a 2 pack with a Classic O.G. and him, the story could have been his introduction to the team.) Quote:

I don't want new, I want vintage designs on a modern figure. Quote:
