Heh, I just did this last night! A definite improvement...and as much as I loved the original 25th SS, I never realized how off white the color was until I compared. He looks like a yellowed vintage SS to me now. I'll pick up a HOF SS for the lower arms and forearms at some point. If you don't mind me asking, how did you get the strap to sit away from the neck like that? |

Crazy glue! I've done that on almost all of my figures, now. I love the removable gear, but it's annoying when you try to pose them and have to re-adjust everything on the figure. It works really really well on Cobra Soldiers Webgear too, here's my Scarface I did awhile back alongside a Stinger Driver I was working on, the Stinger Driver's gear wasn't glued on yet for comparison: I didn't get it as straight as I would have liked- It's gotten alot easier to do (and with less glue and risk of damage to the figure) since then. Why couldnt they have done THIS in five pack version and that lame ass grey legged, wasitbanded one, for HOH. HOH can take a flying leap. That aside the figurew does look nice but im done buying repaint after repaint from these clowns (hasbro). Either release 'em regularly in stores for EVERYONE to get or dont release em at all!!

The halls of heroes are great figures. Seriously. Cudos to Hasbro.
But $10 + dollars a piece for retooled/repainted figures we already have duplicates of? I hate to say it, but this is a pass. As seriously cool as this figure is, money is tight now, and this is the first GI JOE line I will not be getting. Well, this and the movie toys. |

the OG 5-pack Stormy is pefect to me...not "pure" white but next to the rest of Cobra he looks white enough to me plus IMO he's leaner and meaner than these newer versions

Finally they got rid of those horrible sandals the first ones were sporting. Am I to believe the first one was just kicking it at home with a rice beer, Cobra calls, and he forgot to change his shoes!?
