I just want to know why we keep asking questions of a company who allowed their toyline's cartoon counterpart to be called "TransFormers Animated" when it's a cartoon based off a movie based off a cartoon based off a toyline in the first place.
No shit it's animated, it's a cartoon. Until Transformers are actually working machines, they're all animated. Someone in charge has no sense.
Magic 8-ball answers, I saw that coming. Well, you guys keep telling yourselves that the 25th line will continue some day.
It was fun while it lasted.

Well I've read through the Q+A's.
So we will be getting the classic characters, but in movie styling. So we might get, for example, a Flint or Jaye but in a 21st Century design. So the thing is this - do I want updated 80's figures beyond what we have? - well yes, but I'm happy to get modern looking versions of the characters.
Also, there's a good chance of online packs and I'd bet they would be reusing parts from the movie line.
Sure it's disappointing not to get the figures we want, I wanted an Airtight and Footloose, but I'm looking forward to new look versions of the figures too. We have a good proportion of the classic figures, and if the movie line is the way forward at the moment for the longer term health of the brand, so be it.
I'm keen to see what they have planned!
"We will still try to deliver specific fan favorites (such at the 7 packs) so please keep telling us what you want."
Sounds good. plus we are getting Dial Tone - and if it is the female comic book design I imagine it might herald a few more comic book based looks in the movie colouring style.

I saw this answer at Jc Wiki
If the 7 pack exclusives sell well, could we continue to see additional "classic figure" themed sets alongside the movie figures?
In the short term, there is not a plan to have movie and classic on shelf together. But, if the 7-packs are successful, there is the possbility of similar sets in 2010.
So lets make it a sucessful and the movie line a failure

I knew almost all of the sites were going to ask about Resolute and the 7 packs....What kind of paint they use would have been cool.

Hasbro will continue to make "classic figures" but released in the movie line packaging. This is fine with me because I'm not a MOC collector. The released figures will be like the Resolute version of Tunnel Rat--clearly classic but released in a cohesive packaging that will not confuse consumers--you know, according to bad market research, we're stupid for not buying the 90th version of CC, SS, or SE so they're discontinuing the greatest toy line ever. I can keep ranting but what's the point? This decision was made when Hasbro got lazy and decided to focus completely on the shitty god-awful Paramount movie toy line. We will have hot winters with all the fricking peg warmers. At least that's what we can hope for in order to get a revival of the 25th. I used to buy every figure in a Wave. Now with the shit movie toys, I might buy 1 figure per wave, and that's if I have the spending money on me. And it will be done for the sole purpose of inhaling the smell of a new toy, released from its plastic prison. In the new movie line's case, it's gaudy terrible packaging hell. What's with GI Joe's--more like Hasbro's-- Attention-Deficit Disorders when it comes to changes in the Joe universe? Every two years it changes. Commit to a line! RAH was consistent because you continued to release NEW characters. If you would have done the same with the 25th it would have continued. Repaint after repaint can only take a line so far. You will see high sales of the INTERNET exclusive 7 pack. You would get even better sales if it was released in stores. But faulty market research tells you otherwise. I hope your orchestrated sample represents. If anyone is still reading this rant thank you. It's frustrating for me to get back in to collecting because of an awesome toy line that ends up being consumed by a shit movie..

Man, these Q&As seem to get more and more pointless. Hasbro needs to take lessons from Mattel on how to treat collectors/fans. They have one guy dedicated to fan relations (Toy Guru) and he for the most part gives out good and reliable info. Sure they have had their screw-ups, but you tell they really care and try to nurture the company's relationship with the fans.

Right now their mindset is on the movie...and nothing else.
They decided to use the hype of the 25th Anniversary, to inpregnate us into buying, watching all the new crap that is coming out (since Sigma Six tanked).
I am sad that the 7 packs, are only online retailer exclusives (ToyNewsi.com - Your #1 Source for Batman, GI Joe and All your Action Figures News) which means i will have to dish out more money for shipping and what not. Will I? yes...and i guess that is why Hasbro, has us by the short-hairs.
And of course, no Cover Girl, Jinx, Law and Order...or Air Tight...if this line is canceled.
Thanks Hasbro for giving us BLue Balls.
