The Cobra Viper Commando is the army builder I was looking forward to the most. Ever since we got our first look at the Viper at last years SDCC Movie Presentation the "Skull" look to the design was appealing as a troop builder.
The weapons and gear included are nice. The pulse rifle and pistol, climbing gear, dagger, and the BFG. I took a few shots with the Viper holding the BFG. The good news is this time the weapon is easily thrown aside and forgotten, unlike Heavy Duty who has his main gun as the BFG. All of the standard gear makes for a solid selection and there should be no complaints. My only real complaint about this figure is the head sculpt could have been more accurate in the mouth area. It's not awful by any means but more detail to define the lines in the mask would have been cool. Enjoy the pics. G.I. Joe Movie Cobra Viper Commando Images - GI Joe News

I just can't get into these movie figs, even as bad as I want to.These new vipers(neo,commando,etc....)don't remind me of military action figures, and thats what joe and cobra are.Modern military and terrorist org. Drop a machette or chainsaw in their hands and these figs look more like something out of a Dee Snyder or Rob Zombie flick than a copra trooper IMO. Not that Dee and Rob's flick's are'nt cool.............but they ain't Joe!!!!!!!

War I have a feeling once we all see how the weapons and soldiers play out on the big screen we will have a far better view of the designs.

I'm undecided on this figure. Not a big fan of the head sculpt. It just doesn't seem "right". And I don't mean "right" as in it doesn't look like a Cobra Trooper or Viper. But something just seems off, like it's not finished. Like Destro said, some more detail to define the skull mask would have been nice.
I know it's supposed to resemble a skull, but what's not "right" about it is that it doesn't have full definition of the skull. It looks unfinished. The gear is cool. I ignore the BFG that comes with these figures, they are easily thrown aside so shouldn't even be a deciding factor.

Kind of like a Headhunter Stormtrooper, without any of the "umph".
A little too "alien bounty hunter". If you like it, though, more power to ya. |

Again, the missile launcher is ridiculous. Otherwise, the figure isn't bad looking.
Getting a strong GOW Locust vibe from it though. |

Looks too wishy-washy, not sure what I'm even looking at.
This might work in the movie but as an action figure I'm stumped as what the heck this is...
